My comments from a previous thread: I think its quite unproffesional for a so-called 'proffesional outfit' like the EIHL not to have fixtures released yet. Of course one can say that its because its dependant upon arenas giving ice time availabity notification, etc, but other sports, eg basketball who are dependant upon a 'third-party' don't seem to have such problems. I think if anyone outside the ice-hockey fratenity (or indeed within ice-hockey) are to take the Elite League Management Board, and hence top-flight 'proffesional' ice-hockey in this country seriously the board really needs to stand upto the plate and start demonstarting that it can be taken seriously. The fact that a sponsor may or may not be announced should not delay the fixture release But hey ho usual Elite League Management Board attitute..fans - who cares, they will look after themselves. Regards HL Quite right could not have put it better myself

winds me up, i love this sport, its amazing, i'm more than willing to spend my hard earned cash on tickets but yet like HL says fans come lst, if i didnt love the game so much id boycott it untill someone sorted it, and i think a lot more people probally feel the same. a mass boycott may have an effect but why should our teams suffer and why should we miss a game.
my rant over
sorry

Just to note, 1 date wrong, Panthers home on the 10th, Steelers at home on the 9th. National Ice Centre and download the ice schedule You can even see when your beloved Panthers have their practices.

They said a while ago that the 1st home game would be on the 10th and away to Bracknell on the 3rd but it would be nice to know who against and like alot of people have stated its the early away games that people want to know about so they can book travel /days holiday etc.

Much as expected given the bookings at the NIC. Sunday game with 5pm start on the 10th (Hull is it?) and a 7pm start on Sat 16th. Doesn't seem to be a game scheduled at all for the 23/24th weekend so at this rate, I won't get to see Panthers play until October! Looks like the Lions are at home on Sunday 24th though with a 6pm start.

It's getting a bit beyond a joke now, especially as I want to know when we don't clash with Steelers games!!

The Sports leaders arn't concerned with us, we come last every time.
Now I read in the paper that the league officials are 'dithering' over a sponsor. Why? It's either a deal or not and we want the fixtures. I can see the sponsor falling through and if it was the 'footer' advertisement on the Elite site. It will no-doubt stay so until things are sorted. Try December.

It appears from the Hull website thatthe Challenge cup maybe a stand alone competition, with 54 regular season games and for arguments sake 4 home CC group games and then playoffs we could be in for one of the longest seasons for a while.
However I do think that Hull may have got it wrong and the CC gamesdouble up.
We'll just have to wait and see
