Wife is out for the night, youngest is staying at his grandma’s, so me & older child are coming to this fixture. Should be a good game.

A few weeks ago this was a nailed on 2 points, but they seem to have found their feet a bit more of late.
Still think we'll win the home game, and maybe get turned over at the Leisure Centre.

Be interesting to see how the team bounce back against an improving Guildford team.
Something that might be worth trying to sort our face-off issues is Ollie at centre. Granted it was only only a very small sample but in the 3rd period against Coventry, Ollie moved to centre and did well in the circle, winning 9 out of 12.

Surely he didn't take 12 face offs in a period? Isn't that a lot for 1 centre in 1 period? If that stat is correct then absoloutly leave him in there. Dont take him out unless he drops below the others that cant win any. Face offs are really starting to hurt us I feel.

I feel the EIHL stat recording isn’t absolutely perfect, but I didn’t count them so I can’t argue it😂 From what I noticed and witnessed in the 3rd, when we were in the offensive zone and were desperately chasing a goal, Ollie did well in there

One to watch, we desperately need someone who can reliably win face offs.

View AttachmentDo you think the shots are duff? The below happened earlier this season. Forgot or lost the shot counts for period 1? Tracking for the game shows Blaze with 3 goals and 12 saved shots = 15 SOG. Fife show 4 goals and 27 saved = 31 SOG. The SOG by player also adds to 15 and 31 respectively. I'm struggling with this one. Attachments:

Back at the plot, think it will be a tight one tonight. Flames have largely found their mojo lately (14 points (and only 2 regulation losses) in their last 10 games, after only 3 points in the first 6 games. Panthers need a result, having only 3 points from their last 5 league games.

2-0, period of two halves. All Panthers in the first 10 but getting caught in our own end for the closing 10. Rok with some big saves to keep it a 2 goal lead.

How long gone in the second? (The usual issue with EIHL Game Centre - no events, no clue on time)

End of second 2-0. Panthers have hit the pipe work & Rok made a lovely glove save.

Great performance and result.
Solid, composed and hardly gave Flames a sniff all game.
1st period I felt we came out so fast Guildford didn't know what had hit them. Great for Hazeldine to get a goal immediately. He was excellent all game.
Flames upped the physicality afterwards and it got quite fiesty at times...great watch.
So pleased for them to get that win and a shutout.

The “4th” line were superb today. With the top lines cancelling each other out they became the real difference makers.
36 save shutout was a great effort from Rok too, especially the triple save in the first.

4th line were good and so was Joe Hazzeldine. Makes signing Joe even better business by the club as we can now play the 6D and 4 forward lines.

While we earned the win, we really do need a big body up front, someone to win the puck and hold on to it. Would offer some variation to the otherwise almost identical forward lines we have. Nice to see Corey's attendance having a positive effect on Logan. In the 3rd period I realised I'd barely noticed Farley. Needs more time obviously.

Farley didn’t take too many shifts in the third, on commentary Green said he’d not seen him much in 3rd then next shift he was there, Sod’s Law for him there haha Corey has been in attendance last couple of games, would be nice for Logan to get his first competitive goal for us whilst he’s here.
