In the aftermath of the heartbreaking loss of Adam, the EIHA has mandated that neck guards will now be mandatory in UK ice hockey from 2024 onwards. To try and ensure no family ever feels this pain again. And that no one is lost ever again. Hopefully the EIHL will adopt this automatically I'm not 100% sure this is the right place to post this but I thought that maybe, just maybe, it will bring a little comfort or reassurance to some in the hockey family. #AJ47 www.bbc.co.uk/sport/ice-hockey/67260326

There’s an interview with Sidney Crosby on the Pittsburgh Penguins twitter account where he talks abit about Johnson. Was nice to hear Crosby talking about Johnson’s first goal in the NHL.

Seems all his former teammates also thought he was such a happy, joyful person. And, something we didn't know, apparently he was quite the tennis player too. The more we learn about the player and person he was, before us and away from the rink the more my heart breaks for his immediate loved ones. Their loss is immeasurable compared to what we feel. 🖤💛#AJ47

There was a mention on NHL On The Fly and there was a moment of silence before the WWE show at the NIC.
There was an ITV Crew as well

Will the floral tributes outside on the plaza be there all week? Was planning on stopping by and putting flowers down maybe Tuesday Seemingly feeling like a Sunday I felt committed to going down and take a look at the flowers and messages. Have just got back. My lad left a single flower (the last from our garden) and I wasn't the only one there as I'd imagine. Twenty or so and people stayed there a while too. Shamefully I broke down when being interviewed by BBC East Midlands for 6.30pm tonight I think. Was telling the interviewer before how it was wonderful that so many from afar were there and for someone they (like I) had not even met nor in some cases seen playing. It was a horrid accident at a young age and to have come here with his girlfriend, working in the sport he loved - this shouldn't have happened. Took pictures but apparently the files are to big to attach here. One of that floral display from Fife. Saw also Glasgow and Sheffield. No shame at all in any of that, Mick. Quite the opposite. There are some heavy hearts in a lot of places at the moment.

Honestly I'm not quite sure how I'm going to manage to go back to a game any time soon. So there's absolutely zero shame in what you were feeling

Just an observation, some may call it a criticism but I can see why you'd call it that. Unless I've missed it, where is Neil Black? I'm pretty certain if this was something at Forest the Mr Marianakis would've spoken by now, and to be honest, most other people at the top of the tree at most organisations would've done too I think. Now behind the scenes he may be doing all sorts of things, but I want my owner leading from the front publicly. I want to see that he cares

I'm sure when Chris Ellis was interviewed on Radio Nottingham a few days ago hw mentioned that the owner had been up on Sunday to be with the team. Chris is away dealing with his own family bereavement but still had a handle on things. I think a lot of things are getting lost in the huge amount of outpouring of support from the whole hockey community.

I’m sure he, OP and JP are busy supporting the players and staff. Seeing that video where Kevin Moore spoke really brought it home as to how broken and devastated they all are and I bet NB, OP and JP are too. Never had to deal with something like this before. I’m sure we will hear from them soon. Grief is horrible and we all deal with it differently. I also wonder how the Steelers are as well.

I would echo this, Victor Bjorkung has done an interview with a Swedish news outlet and spoke about the last few days (really recommend reading if you get chance). He sings nothing but praise for the club and the way they have been. He’s also spoken about how the players have been in touch with Petgrave and also helped Adam’s girlfriend before she flew home. I would imagine Neil, along with the other owners have been in talks about how the league responds. He has the right people in charge of the media at Panthers now, it’s not like when Glasgow messed up in a major way last year and he had to take the reins to steady the ship. Whilst I understand hearing from the owner can be good, I also think a ‘United’ club approach is equally if not more effective in this instance.

Right now I'm happy not to hear anything from anyone if it means that the people who are most profoundly affected are getting everything they need and deserve. I'm sure, in time, when the time is right we'll hear more. But for right now an organisation focused on Adam's family and partner, the players who were so close to what happened and the staff who assisted Adam is exactly as I would have wanted it. Anyone who saw the players when they came out can see how everyone feels.
They've done all they can realistically do at this time for those of us who saw it, or have encountered it since: supplying contact details for relevant support systems.
Coming out to see the fans must have been overwhelming for the players. And it sounds like no stone had been left unturned in supporting Adam's partner, family and the team.
I'm happy with that.
The rest will come with time
