Just taken a trip back into the fixtures, to see when we last had six winning games on the trot (home and away).
Bar two lots of five in seasons 18/19 and 19/20 we actually had a 12 (yes, twelve) games running 24th September to 19th November in season 2017/18
Beating the likes of Guildford, Belfast, Sheffield, Belfast, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Milton Keynes, Coventry, Guildford, Milton Keynes, Belfast and Cardiff. It was 'this' games visitors that finally broke that run winning by the odd goal in nine - Fife Flyers.
However, look at who we have to play coming up this season. Bets please!

No Tetlow (obviously) and no Ryczek for this one according to the press release. Thankfully have a weekend of CC games ahead so the main focus is tonight, but could do with an addition to the defence before next week.

Yep, hopefully be a leaky defence goal fest from both sides with a panthers win We have zero coverage at this point in time so it could go either way, Good news as mentioned before the noddy cup who cares so all out on this one lads please

I doubt they would bring in a replacement for Ryczek as wouldn't it mean de-registering him do we have the slots to bring in a spare just for a couple of games, and I can't think of a Brit replacement for Josh that would be suitable.

Just been having a look while compiling notes for tonight, I think you may be mistaken Spik as we lost 6-2 to Cardiff Devils in Cardiff on 22nd October 2017. We's won five straight league games up to the Cardiff defeat and then went on to win the next six before being beaten at home by Fife in the shootout on 26th November.

Is it just a couple of games though for Ryczek ? Panthers have been here before more than once where so called “day to day” injuries turn into several weeks. At least Panthers media have now been told to stop using the term “day to day” instead they now just say nowt hoping nobody notices !

A spare import in general would be handy, Tetlow gone for 3 months and as you say can’t be replaced, but what that also means is any injury to another defenceman like at the moment, and we’re down to 4. We look good on the forward front, but I think we could do with having a spare D-man or even a 2-way player to provide cover for us and competition when all healthy

Defo run with an extra import. Couple of forwards i think need to go so maybe some healthy competition would help

Really not sure what to say about tonight. Think we should win. Hope that we do win. But, Panthers being Panthers we could very easily put on a shocking display and see the Flyers return back home with both points. Eyes closed so struggling to see "The Grapes Count" clearly but looks like . . . Panthers 4. Flyers 2.

Panthers outshot Fife 138-73 last season in three league games at the NIC for 2 points from 6 and a 6-9 aggregate score (1-3, 1-6 and 4-0) Owen snaring a combined 95.65 save percentage in those games. Here's hoping for a 4-0...

Well that period was dross. Had a couple of good chances & it should really be 2-1 Panthers. Need to be better.

Library atmosphere. Half empty. Lethargic Panthers. Dull.
1-0 to them is deserved. They are more up for it.
Struggling for positives.

One question, and something I’ve noticed quite a bit recently but not thought to mention it. Have they done something different to the ice? It seems really poor quality and the puck is bobbling everywhere?!

2-1 Nottingham. Great goal from Neil. Tremendous work on the blue line to keep the play going. Well played lad 👏🏻

It seems really poor quality and the puck is bobbling everywhere?! At least 2 concerts leading up to tonight. JLS Monday, S club last night. Always worse after concerts. Perhaps a lot of games near events so far.
