Will be an interesting summer one way or another. I can’t see that happening. He’s from Nottingham, come up through the juniors to play for the Panthers, highly regarded by our fans and everyone involved in the club, training with our club The import limit is rumoured to be increasing to 15, in turn teams need one less Brit, J.Phillips has retired, they still have Warburton, Jones, D.Phillips, Whistle, Dowd as their 5 regular Brits, plus Shudra and Graham on two-ways. If it’s true about the import levels then that alone casts a lot of doubt on him joining them

Provided the sale of Clan is completed and links severed with "Team Black", might we see a certain Corey Nielson applying for the Head Coach position in Glasgow next season ?

Former France Under 16 Head Coach and Ligue Magnus Coach of the Year in 2021/22. No experience outside of his native land. Cannot see this happening as he is rumoured to be quite opinionated and against "outside" involvement in team affairs. Does not bode well for a fresh gig in Lower Parliament Street.

Nielsen, and his family, might prefer life in the UK especially after his previous experience in Deutschland.

It'll all come down to money and if he feels he'll be looked after Im sure.

What’s the betting he’s a mate of Pacha’s. 🙈

He’s not played for us under the ‘control’ of Pacha so you’d like to think the club has improved enough behind the scenes to intrigue him. Money is always a factor but Betteridge is a premium Brit now imo so he will demand a decent wage, but a potential reduction in Brit spots adds some limitations for Sheffield, unless they went to rip their Brit pack up

No smoke without fire so it’s likely to be Paredes. If it’s true it’s a surprising appointment, we’ve tried going the route of a coach with European experience in Chernomaz and he seemingly didn’t do enough to stick around, I really thought we might go with someone who already has experience in the league as they seem to have the most success.
Imo though it is a necessity that whoever comes in is given at least two seasons

I'm waiting for Tex to appear and call the appointment 'cheap' and something only the panthers would have done and "you wouldn't see Giants, steelers and devils doing the same" 🤣🤣

I agree, if we’re in 7th place again this time next season then it’s probably not worked, but we don’t need any mid season sackings again. Give them a chance

Anyway at least this Paredes chap has got good pedigree for life in Nottingham, his French team finished the league in 4th place. Should fit in to Pantherland rather nicely. Lol 🤣🤣
