Who are the tough players at Giants, Devils and Steelers? I agree if we were to sign a Jeff Brown type forward it would gives us some more reassurance at this point but we have got players who will fight, I could be wrong but didn’t Anderson have the most fighting majors for us last season, also Tetlow has proven he can handle himself when he slapped Bobby Farnham about who in part was paid to fight in the NHL. Stats paint a picture but they don’t give any indication to a player’s physicality, grit or toughness and Riley Brandt in Cardiff is a good example as to why people shouldn’t judge a player based on height. it’s not fair on tetlow to expect him to get his head punched in against tough guys in the league. Giants, Devils and Steelers all have physical gritty players in the line up. Giants have mark Cooper, Ben lake, Oliver Cooper and Greg Printz who can all play a rough game and walk all over us. Cardiff have Chad pietroniro, Riley Brandt, Marcus Crawford and Josh Batch Cardiff aren’t that big of a team but they have players who have proven to be gritty and physical and could bully our team around the ice unless one of our last announcements can change that. Sheffield have Petgrave who is constantly winding people up and pushing around smaller players based on last season, Kevin Tansey is a big body on defence who they said when they signed him plays a physical game defensively and Scott Allen. I think all three teams can come to our arena and bully us no problem. Glasgow will walk all over us with 0 hesitation and Dundee will bully us too. Even Guildford kept some of their big gritty players from last season. Not understanding why there is a false Narrative that there isn’t any gritty physical players in our league anymore. We could very easily get bullied all season with no plan B and it is worrying. I’m very surprised we have signed such a one dimensional team again especially as Pacha has admitted to being involved in recruitment this season, if it goes badly like last season he will get the sack. But then again this is the Panthers so I wouldn’t be surprised if we come 6th and they try to spin it as positive improvement. 2 fights and some massive hits already first game into pre season. Both teams could bully us. We look better now with the new signing though.

panthersnationManchester Storm add Norwegian winger Andreas Heier. A former team-mate of Austin Cangelosi during his time with Stjernen, Heier spent the final half of last season in Austria with Pioneers Voralberg.

Sheffield are throwing everything to win something this year. They certainly don't look like they will be short of goals. Only 6 D though. I'd perhaps have expected an extra D man for import #17 rather than a forward?

Giant news ex Coventry Blaze forward Jonny Curran signs for the Belfast Giants as replacement for Elijah Barriga who is out for the season after picking up a serious injury in the CHL.

Yeah, feels quick. Though they make a point of mentioning it's 2 assists in 8 games including the cup. Given his point production in the coast I guess they're disappointed but still, I'd have thought they have given him longer. But maybe he doesn't fit the way they're playing?? Okay NB, he's available, likely cheaper now than in the off season and has good numbers historically. Time to bring in sometime extra to increase competition?? Can see one of the other teams going for him based on his history and leadership history

Looks a good player. Only played 60 games in the last 4 years though(covid included). 36 of those last season.

Been following the team. Looks like you guys are off to a good start. Great to see! Thanks. Nice to see Austin is wearing an A this year. Good luck for the rest of the season! Looks like J.J. is settling into the team nicely (at least from his production)
