Flames win, 6-4, to keep the league alive a bit longer.
Giants destroyed Storm in the 3rd, 7 unanswered to win 9-1.

So Guildford have to win their remaining 3 games, including going to Belfast and getting a regulation win and also relying on Belfast dropping a point in Dundee. Belfast could win the league via the tie break criterea for the 2nd time in 3 full seasons. The last time being 2018/19 when both them and Cardiff finished on 92 points from 60 games.

Yes, a tall order with Christmas / all birthdays come at once if that happened.

Guildford look like they'll take it to the final weekend at least, comfortable lead against Dundee this evening.

Good on Guildford. Would love them to shock the Giants but that is one tall ask. Irrespective of final positions and the Play-Offs, hear that Flames Head Coach Paul Dixon has bought a map of Sheffield and a Yorkshire phrase book ahead of 2023/2024.

Saturday's game might be worth getting the webcast, if available. Certainly more so than watching Fan Depreciation Night on the other channel... Hope Guildford can at least make them have to go to Dundee and get something.

Not sure what the OS is saying as regards how the league would pan out. They said Guildford would have to beat the Giants on Saturday. Nothing said about OT. Then said Flames need to better Belfast’s game versus Dundee? What about regulation wins?

Then said Flames need to better Belfast’s game versus Dundee? What about regulation wins? Yes they’ve got it wrong. Giants are two points ahead with more regulation wins, so irrespective of what Flames do the Giants just need one win even in OT or on pens from their two games to win the league.

They did say any Belfast win would give them the title but .....
I’m referencing the fact that they kept it short. Belfast could lose both games in OT and still win. Lazy Elite as usual. Let’s say Flames win the first game in regulation, then I understand their final point but just saying Guildford need to better Giants score makes it sound like winning 3-0 would better a 1-0 win the way it’s put. Sure they mean winning in regulation in the last game would better an OT Giants win but not if Giants had gained a point in the first game.

If Flames win in Belfast then win again in their last game at home against Fife...any combination of 2 points will still do for Giants. That could be an OT win in either of their games or even two OT losses. Giants can lose against Guildford as long as they win against Dundee.

That’s what I said in Giants being able to lose both games in OT ( accumulative 2 points) and still win. But all Elite had to say was. ‘ If Flames win in regulation time. They hope to get a better points production in the last set of games’ OR ‘ If Flames win in OT versus Giants, they hope to win their last game and Belfast lose.’

Could do with somebody turning the game lights on in Belfast. Looks they are playing in the same light I can see out my window. 🤣
Either that or they need to adjust the cameras.
