Belfast now must have one hand on the league.
Also backing Coventry as potential playoff winners. With their record over the last month against the top 4 teams no one will fancy playing them.

Must be due to the size of the arena?
Don't think it'll be a problem really though. Belfast are going to win.

I don't recall similar being announced when Manchester were in the titles running a few years back? Although they ended up 9 points, so maybe the CHL just hedged their bets and assumed Machester would never make it.

Thinking about it, I seem to recall being issues with connectivity for TV, webstreams, etc... being an issue in the past. I would presume that CHL games have quote a lot of requirement for TV broadcast potentially.

Seems a strange call to make seeing as both the Norwegian league and French league average attendances are a lot lower than the spectrum's capacity. Even their winners won't get that many fans to CHL games.

This is similar to when a team gets promoted to the prem and their ground has to have certain requirements... Clearly the spectrum isn't upto spec ....

Twitter seems to be suggesting it's due to the lack of facilities at the leisure centre for broadcasting it, rather than a lack of seats.

Belfast win the first of their double with Cardiff, 3-1 I think we all agree that Belfast now have it almost in the bag, however a win tomorrow takes Cardiff out of it mathmatically.

And one of the other two is dropping a point or two as they play at the Tin Shed.

If Belfast beat Sheffield tonight it’s mathematically a two horse race.

And also make it less likely we'll get a Sheffield in the playoffs. We could still finish sixth of course but seventh is looking more likely.
A tie with Guildford, for whatever reason, would seem our best bet of making the weekend. Had some success - in our relative terms this season - in that match up.

Breaking our necks to get past Guildford just to get smashed in the semis! Pass

Them or Cardiff would be ideal, but I agree Guildford looks the most likely as it stands
