Manchester deliver a big blow to Cardiffs chances, coming from behind to win 2 1 at IAW.
Cardiff currently join Guildford as challengers to lose control of their own destiny.

Imagine having Cardiff problems. Embarassed by your team 3 points off top spot. š¤£

View AttachmentImagine having Cardiff problems. Embarassed by your team 3 points off top spot. š¤£ Well yes indeed. At least the Devils Canadian based owners probably watch more of their games live though than Blacky does in Nottingham. š¤£

Our chances to most of us went weeks ago, we are a 4th place team and will probably finish there, think we will be up against Blaze in the play off 1/4 finals 4th v 5th, with Blaze qualifying. To most Devils fans the off season canāt come quick enough .

Clan & Panthers fans...let's not go there. Is anybody happy ?

O.k you may not be favourites but embaressing seasom season is a massive over statement. I find it remarkable that you cant wait for the season to be over. You may not be running clear out front, or got to the CC final but you are still in the mix down the stretch in an exciting, competitive league title race. I guess as a club and fanbase you've become to used to winning. I mean this im the nicest, most diplomaric way possible.... Wow how you guys become entitled. 6 other teams in this league with give their left nut to be where you are now.

Remarkable really, the expectations of some fans. Clubs supporters complaining of their teams failings, wow. Considering our own poor season the teams near the top must not want to engage into an exciting battle for the league title. Our upset is with regard much more of a worry than theirs. If I'm wrong, am willing to hear the 'other' sides story as to why they think they are being 'let down' overall in season 22-23.

I couldnāt give two hoots about winning, itās about being entertained for my gate money. I would rather leave the rink having lost 1-2 but having watched a great game, where players give their all, than leaving having won in a borefest of a game that players look disinterested, and this season has been probably the most boring ever, we are where we are due to the league in general being a far lower standard than for years. The majority of devils fans want entertainment before anything else.

The majority of devils fans want entertainment before anything else. Maybe it's the Jaded Panthers fan in me but id take a league title with boring hockey over sexy Neilson hockey(not so sexy anymore anyway) any day. I'm affraid I've never really understood this mentality. I get that sports teams need bums on seats to generate income and exist, that means they feel the need to try and entertain. Sport is about winning first and foremost. If it's within the rules then you do what it takes. Same with people who used to call out Jose for parking the bus. It delivered results. Thats what sport is. If you can be entertained too then great but the result comes first. As a fan you then choose if you want to go and watch a winning/competitive team or not. Now Panthers situation and for many others it's a little different. As I said, Id take winning and boring all day but if winning is off the table then at least entertain me. Panthers currently deliver neither very often.

And I really feel for Panther fans, great stadium good crowds that could be so easily bigger, not great that your team always raise their game when playing against us, wish they would do that against your mates up the road. Always loved going to your old gaff with its wooden seats, it was always rammed and the game was so much more entertaining in those days. Would love to see a few more characters in the league, thatās a huge thing missing these days.

Not sure if this is in the right place but here we go
I was in France and had a quick word with Christophe Boivin at a Nice v Rouen game. Rouen went 3-0 down but came back to win 3-4: Boivin scored 1 and 2 assists and played well from the 3rd line in a fairly uneventful game.
So far this season he has scored 30+ goals for Rouen.
When he played for Panthers in the Elite Series and EIHL, I thought he played really well and as a relatively new pro was surprised he was so readily allowed to move on.
Anyway, he passed on a āhelloā to Panthers fans.
Maybe does not fit into the now seemingly essential big, power forward mould that that current management seem to have wanted. It was noticeable that in France they play a far less physical game that in the U.K.

Yes, I think I typed that before Cardiff lost in OT. Ok only 1 point dropped but every point is huge now. The only reason they still have a slim chance is the double header they have next weekend. The reality is I think it's pretty much nailed on for Giants. They are far superior to all the rest.

Absolutely spot on, we are and have been out of it for awhile now we will finish 4th as we should do, we will play Blaze to qualify for play off finals and lose out Defo.

I wouldn't bank on that just yet. Blaze could throw a spanner in the works. Considering the fixtures Sheffield & Coventry have left and Coventrys form they could move out of what looked a nailed on 5th.

Good old Steelers. Doing their utmost to deliver Belfast the title on a silver platter this weekend.
