It’s going to be interesting to see where the Clan are at tomorrow, two weeks since their last game so I imagine they’ll be chomping at the bit and will come out flying. It should be make for a tough game, hopefully we can get the win.

Due to the well documented issues caused by the smaller rosters this year there have been large instances of lack of intensity leading to boredom if we’re being frank in games this season. There is absolutely no excuse today for me to not go out and demonstrate what we should be capable of for the full 60 minutes, an extra body making his home debut, only game of the weekend, it is about time we put a show on!

Jokinen makes his debut. Might be nothing, but in the lineup announcement, Suoranta is listed with Hopkins as an additional forward.

Panthers look better, but haven't taken our chances. Glasgow's Sol is really earning the A on his jersey with quite possibly the stupidest penalty. After knocking Kelsall's stick from his hand in the slot, he takes an interference penalty trying to prevent him picking up his stick. Taking a penalty on a forward without a stick is a special kind of stupid penalty.

2-1 Panthers. Panthers looked much better first half of that period. All over Clan. Could have been more tha 2 up, but Clan pull one back against the run if play. Glasgow definitely looking to up the physicality ATM.
Goals from Kelsall and Welsh for the good guys, and Crooks for Clan.

That was woeful. First period was devoid of well, anything at all really.
We had a small spell of preasure in the 2nd where it actually looked like we had a 2 month head start.
There were plenty of tape to tape passes, problem is it was Glasgow tape with regularity.
The game turned when Carr let in the first soft goal though. He looked to be having a decent game and then an all to regular mistake.
Overall it's quite obvious for most to see, we just lack quality in the forwards. Currently made up of about 7 or 8 third line players. Of the imports Welsh is the only one showing any real quality consistantly(injured Domingue aside).
It's going to be a long season. Only another 46 league games to go.

I felt we dominated for the first 30 minutes and were easily the better team without having too many clear cut chances.
We could have been 4 up by that point...then we just stopped doing anything good and...well yeah we lost
Welsh continues to get better and better and Lane showed some good moments.
Very poor result...again

Shots on goal was 44 to 21. Panthers need to finish their chances. It's the case now, that whenever I see us on the breakaway, I expect us not to finish. We even conspired to miss a 2 on 0.
3rd period had the worst possible start conceding within a minute at that point we looked very shaky at the back. Also the powerplay they got the winner on was criminally bad penalty to give away. Doherty with a lazy slash behind the Clan net.
I'm torn because we looked far better than the Clan, but we can't keep failing to convert chances. I'd love for the stattos to tell us a conversion rate for shots on goals into actual goals. It feels like it should be very poor.
In the context on the league, this should have been 2 points, winning a game in hand to keep up pressure.

I don’t comment on player performance or games because I don’t watch them. But I keep reading the same things over and over again that the flaws must be so bloody obvious. He ain't the only very tall dman prone to taking silly penalties, and at least Sol puts his physical attributes to use in his own end, unlike Doherty tonight |
