I meant in the sense of being down to 5D. Unfamiliar lines etc. No signs of errors creeping in? (I'm following online tonight so any insights gratefully received). Yes they've definitely shown they've got the goals in the squad so far this year. Was disappointed that with the family connections we have Conway went to Giants in the off-season. But with Pearls off to Norway and the Giants set up it certainly makes perfect sense from his side. 4-0 Giants definitely showing they're dangerous I'd put it this way. Giants only have 1 skater more. It's not a difference in fitness, it's speed and ability. They look a class above. Good point about the one extra. Have got that impression so far but nice to have the insight/confirmation from someone watching the head to head. Much appreciated

Early days, not too bad a start, injuries but I saw this coming a mile off. Said to friends before hand that quality would show with Belfast hurting from a poor start. Hate being right sometimes.
Tonight just highlights what most experienced fans already knew. We lack 2 players. A Sam Herr, Jordan Fox type to drag you back when the chips are down, And a power forward or Janssen type to change it up after a start like tonight. 5 or 6 clones on the forward lines. Average/small in height with average skill. Ok to have 2 or 3 for the bottom 2 lines, but they make up all of our lines.

50:25 Nottingham Panthers, 2-minute penalty. #8 Matthew Myers called for delay of Game - Violation of Faceoff Procedures.
50:22 Nottingham Panthers, 2-minute penalty. #4 Taylor Doherty called for slashing.
Two in three seconds?! I'm sure that's not the record but still must be close. A second from the restart. Talk about compounding the problem

I won’t comment on that. 🤣 Come on, I've set you up for the tap in here. I’m not biting Jord. But I did say going with 13 was dumb a long time ago…..apparently we might have been waiting for AHL camps etc. 🙄

Some relief almost but I fear Sheffield’s come back will materialise before ours. Alas you were right. Currently 4-4 with 15 to go

Only betteridge played well tonight he never stopped. However Suoranta can bugger off back to Finland. Inept and lazy from someone who has 10 straight years in Liiga

Absolutely nothing to take away from that that’s positive. We were slow in transition, abysmal in our own end and toothless in theirs. The way the league has fallen with results it’s not the end of the world (as in no one is breaking away without having player more games.) but it’s difficult to see anything but a long season of struggle on the back of that.

No energy, speed, aggression, or clue about what to do. Was lucky it was only 5-0.
Ollie I thought was ok for us, everyone else was terrible.
We have no size either, far too small and no passion.
It will be a long season (again) at this rate

Why do I keep reading Panthers have no size, haven’t they got two guys who are both 6ft 8 inch. Are those two both pansies ?

Ooft, that stung. I forgot that Belfast were coming off a 3-0 loss to the Storm so they were always going to come out hard.
After the flukey goal the momentum was completely with Belfast and they hammered us. Belfast were so quick and clean in their transition, we were quite the opposite, we lacked composure in our own zone that we’ve been used to seeing and I think that was down to their forecheck, they were killing us. They forced us into dumping and chasing and we were having no success with that😂Belfast are very quick, Boucher was running riot, we couldn’t get near him.
You’re not going to win every game but you at least need to compete, especially at home. I don’t think playing short of a defenceman helped us tonight but we needed to see more work and desire from our forwards to help in the defensive zone. Also, we need to get more out of Lane, Baillargeon and Suoranta, if that means mixing the lines up then so be it but we need more from them.
Will we see a big response tomorrow? I certainly hope so or it will be a long journey home😂

Yikes....that was a tough watch!
Can't say much else compared to what others have said but if was so so bad, completely outplayed,outmuscled...the difference was frightening.
We need some roster changes now before it's too late.

For me we first need to bring in an extra body we are entitled to and then I’d happily change carrozza and Toussignant based on what I’ve seen so far this year.

To be honest of the imports,it could be any of them...I don't dislike any of them massively but we just have loads of small, lightweight carbon copies of each other in the forward ranks. We need some different types of players and some D men who aren't afraid to lay a hit. I just don't like the make up of this team.

I’m guessing it wasn’t an overly big crowd seeing as there’s an empty box on the gamesheet again ?

He is chirping a lot, also had 3 goals in 4 league games before tonight. Think he lacks the tough guy backing him up. Lane and Boivin are top of my list at the momment. Wouldn't lose sleep over no9 or Carozza either. Welsh I like, think he'll be a Cameron Mann type. Do the simple things well and go under the radar. Suoranta I think could come good, but at this point I wouldn't care if he went too. 1 addition and 1 change could make all the difference.

Tetlow isn’t a 6th d man for me Agree on the two forwards you’ve mentioned. #9 ain’t all that
