100% agree. Rather than just saying he wasn’t going to call the interference, and thus giving Brust the opportunity to retaliate, calling 2 for diving may have been a better option. It’s a tremendous mugshot, you have to say. Good job he’s a hockey player or he’d have no chance of getting a decent looking Mrs that’s for sure ! Maybe he’s devastatingly witty, amusing, good company and charming. Some men are like that.

5 assists last night for Piccinich, him and Conway (3+1 last night) really are tearing defences apart. Conway is 63% in the face off circle too.
Both have what I'd call second quartile CVs (decent, by all means, but not spectacular) and both are coming off fairly average 20/21 seasons. Piccinich was 6th top scorer on his ECHL team and was -14 (second worst on the team), Conway scored 20 points in 40 regular season games. Nothing there to suggest what they're doing now. What that proves I don't know, probably that some players just thrive off each other. or Keefe is an excellent recruiter/coach? And that (hold the front page) prior stats aren't everything.

Probably asked amillion times, but is Conway homegrown or an import? If he's a homegrown brit it's even better signing.

He's Brett and Brendan's cousin . I think he's down as a Brit

Either way I think he'll be in high demand with every top EIHL team. An ambitious club would try and get him and Brett Perlini together as a package.

He’s probably already got another club lined up, but if I was Doucet, I’d be letting multiple players go if it meant I had the chance of affording him.

Haha absolute no chance .. 🤣 The sort of player we used to watch 20 years ago mate. Strangely,Panthers afforded them back then on crowds of about 2000 less than they get now !

Wasn't that during the BISL days when all the players were imports (apart from 1 or 2) when we had the likes of Paek, Nordmark and Leach who amassed over 500 NHL games between them? Oh yeah, the BISL was un-sustainable.

Oh yeah, the BISL was un-sustainable. It was unsustainable because it was full of irresponsible owners ! If they spent what they could afford and didn't launder money etc then it may have lasted longer . Yes Iggy it was the sort of player we were used to seeing .. happy days

Come on Ian. you know that it is never going to happen again. Too many teams are low income and cannot compete to pay the wages of these ex-NHL journeymen. The arena teams stand a chance, but there are too few of them currently.
BISL was an owners pipedream. To be honest, the entertainment level was poor, as the teams cancelled each other out. The UK needs a more gritty, less predictable outcome to keep fans happy.

Hey there were fights every night sometimes 2/3.. the skill level was off the charts compared to today's garbage . Players were coming over at the peak of their careers from the AHL or IHL as it was then . What does the future hold over here? Well to me it's fairly bleak as the physical side being watered down and the standard of player coming over these days isn't great at all I'm afraid

Oh yeah, the BISL was un-sustainable. It was only unsustainable because some daft owners spent so ridiculously, but Panthers proved that you could have quality players without going bust. Now,if Panthers could have that quality of players back when the NIC crowds were only 3 - 4000 then why havn’t they had players of that quality the last eight to ten years when crowds have averaged around 5600 or thereabouts ?

You can't run a league with only five teams If crowds are restricted this early in the season there will be a lot less than five teams
