That’s a joke compared to some other bans dished out.

Two game ban for hitting a turtle with your gloves on, accidentally hitting a kamikaze linesman with your gloves on, pushing a player of his feet with your gloves on, and jestering to a fan with your gloves on. Those bloody gloves should get the ban, not the player.

One guy was out of control for a while and the other guy unfortunate in a split second. Blame Dops, they’re the ones who just aren’t consistent.

...gloves on...gloves on...gloves on...gloves on... Sounds like he should've got extra games for cowardice.

In the grand scheme of hockey scrums/incidents what McNally did wasn’t even really that bad, probably deserved to be kicked out of the game… however in the context of hockey in 2021 the 2 game ban is probably about right despite me not agreeing with it.
The problem this league has caused for itself is it’s set precedents on certain incidents/other bans so far this year and the inconsistency is what causes the embarrassment.
With regards to the Incident in general a number of fans say they want more of an edge/physical side of hockey/entertainment but as soon as it happens they scream for bans, can’t have it both ways

With regards to the Incident in general a number of fans say they want more of an edge/physical side of hockey/entertainment but as soon as it happens they scream for bans, can’t have it both ways I’d love to see a huge set to every game,in a game of lots of hits, incidents and a feeling of a nasty simmering undercurrent of not knowing what’s going to kick off or happen next. In my type of game McNally would have got thrown out of the game but received no ban. Basically like the British game was 15 to 20 years ago. The problem I have is somebody else will do that sort of thing and get a six game ban,it’s the feeling of being an unequal playing field that lets the decisions and the league down. I see Mr Nickerson has raised an eyebrow on social media......he’s a classic case as he’d have probably got 10 games for doing what McNally did !

The Rock impressions in 2021 are an auto ban, in all aspects of life.

I can live with both bans, to be fair. McNally's is perhaps a game or two short, for me, but the explanation is pretty clear. It's within the realms of what I'd thought. Apart fom wailing on Poirier, he actually didn't "do" too much. Knees that cause injury need to be punished, check the PS in DOPS. 2 is also fine for that, especially given an injury has been caused. We move on.

Does anyone in the EIHL get more recruiting value for his money than Omar Pacha ?

Rather than just saying he wasn’t going to call the interference, and thus giving Brust the opportunity to retaliate, calling 2 for diving may have been a better option. It’s a tremendous mugshot, you have to say.

Does anyone in the EIHL get more recruiting value for his money than Omar Pacha ? I believe the team is owned by the rink, so no rental to pay. They unearth some gems of players and get some results, yes, but are rarely are they top half at the business end of the season. No disrespect intended, fwiw, I like Stars as a team most years. They’re a proper “sum of the whole is greater than that of the parts” team.

They’re a proper “sum of the whole is greater than that of the parts” team. The team who are going to be in trouble soon if they’re not careful are Fife. Their crowds have dropped really badly the last 2 or 3 years, there were only 901 there tonight.
