Kelman said he had CV's from around the world on his desk applying for the coaching job. He hires a guy with a losing coaching record in coaching positions where he had no responsibility for recruiting players.
So who's under the gun, Skalde or Kelman ? The wolves seem to be baying at Skalde's door. He's never been a successful coach.

In the Coventry v Cardiff game, Devils nm was assessed a 2min penalty for'interference on a netminder'. How does that work ? I understood this penalty was assessed for interference ON, not interference BY. I'd guess that's a mistake, much like the wrong team's #18 being assessed a penalty last week.  Same sort of mistake that sees Stars' Sanche assessed a 2min penalty for Fighting, at the Steelers on Sunday. |

Another forward apparently incoming to Steelers this week.
Looks like this “the player market is bare” thing is just an excuse used by lazy or tight fisted teams !

I'd say it comes down to whether you believe any body is better than no body, or if you have a particular type in mind and are prepared to wait a while. Polak is 36, but is a body. You don't really want another Kyle Hardy. With Lee and Domingue (and Carozza, 9 games and counting) showing no signs of returning, and being 1 short to start with, there's surely room for another body? |

That's because eihl fans are pretty much all cut from the same cloth "we'll feed them any b/s and they'll believe us! " You just have to see any fans interact with their clubs on social media.. they talk like they are best mates 🤣🤦 |

I'd say it comes down to whether you believe any body is better than no body, or if you have a particular type in mind and are prepared to wait a while. Polak is 36, but is a body. I guarantee there's players out there wanting a move who are better than what's currently on panthers roster! Are you suggesting that Wallace and Gui didn't even know that, for example, Polak was available? Maybe, just maybe, they did, but didn't want to sign him? It's just a possibility... There are often references like "They spoke to other clubs but..." or "Player X chose team X over other EIHL teams because..." The agency argument doesn't hold water when you see players like Herr (which agency was he using?) and others with pretty stellar CVs, in Panthers colours. The fact that they sometimes don't perform is another matter... I think another forward body is essential just now, FWIW. |

One 'stellar player ' always sljps through the net for panthers every few years or so but when you look at the quality CV's Steelers and giants manage to find EVERY year it's bloody obvious the club's scouting networks are miles apart!
The player above is the type panthers should be going for every year and not just one of them either .. but blacky doesn't provide the budget to acquire the sort!

That’s for sure, losing to Steelers is always a bummer but playing like a kids team has no excuse, we were truly horrific, as for Flames well Guildford can beat anyone if they play as they can. Now we are further into the season I see Steelers/ Giants as the League winners, Devils 3/4th and maybe making the final 4 in the play offs and finishing 4th. This is the biggest Jekyl and Hyde team we have ever had, awesome one night, pathetic the next. Don’t think this will happen but we need some changes if we are serious about silverware. |
