Absolutely shameless. Blacky must be kicking himself he never thought of it. Outdone in the 'taking the wee wee out of the fans trophy'.... Yet another easily retainable title slips through Panthers fingers.

Liam Kirk will miss the rest of the season after having surgery on his ACL. Real shame for him so early in his AHL stint in Tucson, he had 2 goals and an assist through the first eight games for the Roadrunners.

Can the fans perhaps tune into a stream and accept the foreign commentary? I'm not well versed in all of this and VPN stuff also. Nope, their router/modem/hub will indicate/direct them to the UK server & block them until payment. Blimey, all routes covered as they say. At least with the 8th (EIGHTH) Nottingham hockey jersey now out on sale I can choose not to buy. Or will I want the soon for sale Valentines one. Bonfire night, New Year missed what's up with them, missing a treat. No pun intended. Unfortunately, as a state of the times, we have lost the Trading Cards and match night physical programme. But presuming the calendar will be out soon. Yet the actual game viewing is the most important and that's at arms length now. Cash cow on Sheffield and other interested fans who have come back to the sport and being taken advantage of. However, I’ve just caught up with this and Sheffield bought the rights to show fans coverage. Have the other two countries been dumped upon. I recall we got to see Panthers on YouTube , so what is the norm with hosting. You charge others or not?

Use them every saturday to watch EFL streams (they cannot broadcast 3pm kickoff games in the UK). Also work when wanting to watch things like BBC iplayer if you're based outside the UK or Netflix if there is a show not available in the UK, but is elsewhere.

U-TURN! sheffieldsteelers.co.uk/steelers-statement-on-streaming-options-this-weekend/"All Sheffield Steelers fans will have the opportunity to watch the Steelers three Continental Cup games FREE if required this weekend. The club has agreed two options for fans and they are as follows. Option 1 – The stream for the 3 games will be provided FREE of charge with commentary from Jonathan Fearnley and Ron Shudra. Option 2 – The stream will cost £30 for the 3 games with commentary from Jonathan Fearnley and Ron Shudra. All profits from the stream after paying commentators and Visionmix will go to the Sheffield Childrens hospital Christmas appeal. Club owner Tony Smith commented “I want to make it clear when the deal was done to take the stream and the price agreed with Aalborg Pirates this was a straight forward business agreement allowing our fans the opportunity to watch the Steelers play in Europe. “It was only later yesterday we were made aware there would be a free stream, at no point in the clubs negotiations with Aalborg was a free to air stream mentioned. “Any fans who have already bought the stream have the option of a full refund should they wish to take advantage of the free offer. An e-mail will be sent to those who have already bought the web cast advising how they can activate the refund if required. “On behalf of the Steelers I would like to personally apologise to our fans for what has been a difficult 24 hours but I must stress this was a situation not of our making but one I hope now is brought to a satisfactory conclusion for all involved.”

Listen carefully, you can hear the sound of frantic back pedalling. Another partial success...

Gallant if true. Personally, I think if your paying for something you'd be assured that it wasn't free anywhere else first. Or tell them (The Danes) to stick it.

Well i’m not very technically minded, but I thought a VPN was something ladies get when their trousers are a bit too tight ?

Yorks off to a winning start, 3-1 against the hosts. Should be getting through to the finals without too much issue.

Steelers win again, just.
Guildford hand out a thrashing to Dundee in the earlier game. Belfast look in control against Manchester but the Storm get one back, 4-2 in the second.

If my calculations are correct, for Sheffield to get knocked out from the position they're in, Gomel need to beat them by three clear goals and Aalborg just need to win by any margin

If my calculations are correct, for Sheffield to get knocked out from the position they're in, Gomel need to beat them by three clear goals and Aalborg just need to win by any margin On a side note, one name in the Riga team older fans might recognise is Edjis Brahmanis, who played one season for Basingstoke in 2005-06. This was Blazer's comeback season as coach for Panthers, which all but ended with the 0-7 playoff lose at home to Sheffield.

On my calculation, with scores at 3-0, Steelers have a goal difference of zero and Gomel have +2. Aalborg have +1. If scores remain and Aalborg win in regulation, Steelers are eliminated. If Steelers make it 1-3, then both Steelers and Gomel have +1, but Gomel will have more goals scored, 8 vs 7. This us what I'd assume the next tie break was, but I can't find it anywhere. EDIT:found it www.iihf.com/en/events/2020/ccfinal/tournamentinfo/16020/tournament-infoIt's too complicated for me to work out.

An embarrassment to the entire country.
So no change there then.

If Aalborg win, the three teams will be tied on 6 points, it then goes to goal difference between the three of them. Sheffield will lose out then. Pirates just need to win now, goals don't matter in their game
