Good effort, Panthers were chasing shadows when they played Lukko a few years ago.

Sorry I have never heard that from simmsy, if I had I would never say it, really don’t want to be a Simmsy clone thank you. That phrase will never pass my lips again, thanks for putting me right Caesar.

Good effort, Panthers were chasing shadows when they played Lukko a few years ago. That's because they were a lot better a few years ago.. Doubtful devils make it out of the group

Listening to the commentry it seems the officating was a little one sided. But overall cardiff were outplayed in all areas.

Listening to the commentry it seems the officating was a little one sided. But overall cardiff were outplayed in all areas. apart from the second period, Cardiff had very few chances in the offensive zone. BUT they did waste what chances they did get in the 3rd. The refs gave Cardiff a chance in the last two mins by finally calling a penalty on Lukko, but even that came with the knowledge that Lukko had a shot at the empty net.

Skalde's post match interview won't do him, Cardiff or potentially the EIHL any favours in the long run. Might be 100% correct in his words but maybe some head coach naivety there to not count to ten beforehand.

I wondered why there's only a three second clip of him after over a minutes long clip of the other coach on the CHL website: Anyone have the full interview anywhere? Would be interesting to see what he said.

Five lucky bounces to Lukko and the Devils getting penalties for being 6 foot 8in. 🤣🙄

Turnout looks a little sparse. Decent scoreline for them at the moment though.

Nothing game we are out they are the best in our group, it’s free on the tv no brainer shorley, It’s now all about Giants and the bread and butter of our league, when you reach these dizzy heights you will be able to comment but for now as you are a spent force take it on the chin like Wilder.

"The Devils end the CHL with one win on Game Day 2 at home to Lugano." Even by the Elite league website 'standards' this is a classic. Beating a team from group E when they're in group C. Classic! 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

The grammar is also rather embarrassing. Multiple independent clause sentences not built correctly. You would think they would employ someone more educated for such a role.

I'd attach an emoji of some-one smacking their forehead, if I could find one !

I'd attach an emoji of some-one smacking their forehead, if I could find one ! It's a sentence that has a subject and a verb and requires no extra information to understand... They are very common in sports writing/reporting as the writer is presenting enough pertinent information to close a sentence & wishes to move on to the next period of time in the whole event. In the EIHL game report some of these sentences are actually built correctly, you will see the 'and,' which is the correct way to present such a sentence. However littered throughout are instances where a hyphen is used to portray the same build of sentence which is incorrect & to a keen eye like my own smacks of general laziness/ineptitude.
