Why bother with IR,they aren’t going to replace him ? Makes you wonder if panthers know what Injury reserve is or just playing with fancy words! Nothing panthers do makes any sense mate See above.

Looks like he's off to college from EP.

Looks like he's off to college from EP. Yes he made the college commitment over two years ago now. He's definitely coming on

He ain't coming anywhere near this league. Cade has a high ceiling and will be setting his sights much higher than the eihl

On what basis is that? UAF is hardly a breeding ground for NHL talent, it seems, Colton Parayko excepted? He's not been drafted, so he'd have to be an undrafted FA signing to get to that level, which is (whilst not unknown) unusual. His career so far isn't dis-similar to Scott Conway's, he's doing pretty well this year. Are you alluding to the fact Neilson could be a top euro league player, Liiga, SHL etc? What level is he realistically aiming at?

It was just a statement of fact. He's draft ineligible (sic) now because he's too old, I think. So... What level is he realistically aiming at? (Given he's far too good for the EIHL)

Genuine question. Interested to know. Years since I saw him ice the once so would be interested in your opinion You did say six hours ago that... He ain't coming anywhere near this league. ... But now think he'll likely have to settle for already being in the EIHL whilst still in his prime at 26 like Conway, who is after all only in his third pro year post college and after AHL/ECHL. Do you see his skill set as more top European leagues or more AHL? And which skills and in in what way?

I was just thinking about the highly variable background and impacts of mid-season additions in the EIHL this year. For players signed after the end of October...
Good pedigree, good impact Polak, Coughler, Mitch Jones, Magee
Good pedigree, not so much impact Hedberg, Thow, Bacashihua, Valdix
Maybe not such great pedigree, but decent impact Ozols, Massy, Mitch Cook, Shmyr
Straight out of College, varying impact Ripplinger, Chaulk, Brown, Brandt, Richards
I can't recall so many ex college players being signed mid year ever?
Polak and Coughler are the pick of the mid season signings, both have scored very well indeed.
