I really hope it works out for him, and im proud. Proud that a brit goalie is good enough to go and play in a European league. I remember Dave Simms saying that no team would ever win the Elite league with a brit goalie, well they did. More than once and more than one team. If we don't want and wish for better then we'll never get anywhere. Ten years ago who would believe a British club would win a European trophy? Ah Simms, the most wise and knowledgeable man in BIH. . Good luck to Bowns, hope it works out well for him To be fair, Bowns is a ways above any other other Brit goalie in the EIHL, with the greatest of respect to the others. It's not like 5 EIHL teams have a Brit #1. I fear he may get lit up like a Christmas tree in the ICEHL/EBEL (above mentioned flaws that may well be better exploited in a better league) but I sincerely hope he doesn't, and makes a good go of it. His stats and record say he'll do exactly that. Good luck, Ben.

Bowns was lucky with the situation at Hull and fair play to the guy he took his chance and ran with it. I wish him all the best and even if it does come down to a couple of seasons earning proper money then good luck to him and I hope it works out well.

They hope he will anyway else it would be a loan deal but its not.. No doubt we'll get similar presses releases from them up the road when their fantastic 7 depart as well! They are forgetting they'll be a year older (if) they return

Yours obviously went a long time ago unfortunately for you, there again the club probably are far better off without envious and nasty attitudes that you constantly show. Time for bed baby boy, and stop throwing your dummy out of your crib.

Credit to tetlow for trying a different league but jeez, even the Finnish 4th division will light him up! He'll last a couple of weeks

Oh dear That’s not going to last long. 🙈 For gods sake he's not even left he country yet, give him a chance! Why do you seemingly take so much pleasure in the potential failure of a young prospect? Give it a sodding rest!

Give it a sodding rest! Because their sad cases that’s why, it’s bad enough being a sad bugger yourself , without trying to bring others down to their pathetic level. Getting off on trying to drag others down is so sad it’s untrue, maybe being a lost cause yourself you need to try to suffocate others that are giving it their best shot. Maybe we should feel a bit of empathy for them, but they are beyond that. Maybe if your a sado, you are destined to always be a sado, that’s life I suppose, sad but true. Stay safe.

Great move for Tetlow, a real opportunity for him to work on his speed and skills without the threat of a more experienced opponent wanting to drop the gloves with him. His game will have to come on leaps and bounds if he is to last the full season and I for one hope he makes a great success of it.

It's no great secret that Josh's skating is one of the weaker sides to his game.
If you don't believe him being in the Finnish system, possibly best skaters in the world, is going to be anything but good for him then it'll be hard to have a Hockey conversation with that person.
The coaches, the culture, the experience, the challenges and being there purely to play Hockey, no quiz night nonsense. He'll make mistakes or be shown up, he'll learn crucial lessons without Dave from Grantham who's never touched the ice in his life chirping in on Twitter or The Cage with his ill informed opinions.
Maybe he won't tear the league up, but he'll grow as a player and a person for this experience.
My hats off to all Brits who are stepping in to the unknown for the first time on the continent. Perhaps a couple won't adjust well and call it off early but some will do better than expected and some will just have a great experience and return to the EIHL when its safe to do so in the knowledge that they put themselves out there. Having Brits scattered across Europe is going to help our profile and reputation within the Euro hockey community grow and we won't be seen as outsiders quite so much.
More ice time in Europe for Brits in the long run means more ice time in Britain for young Brits breaking through which although may affect the quality of the EIHL but strengthen the GB set up.

Which brits haven't found alternative clubs yet? I have
Davies Dowd D. Phillips J. Phillips O. Connor Lacho
Personally if they fail to find a club I wouldn't be selecting them for the worlds.
4 of those from a certain club I see 🤔
