So that gives Man & Cov reason to say, 'we wanted to play but the rink owners wont allow it'

In regards to the Motorpoint, it could be that the arenas scheduling has forced them to push it back so far, as opposed to them being worried. When comparing COVID numbers with France’s, it strange how they’ve made this decision when their current situation appears to be worse than ours, yesterday France reported 8.5k new cases, we reported 2.6k. Sports teams in France have been allowed to push on with fans being in attendance at football grounds (capacity of 5000) since 1st July, as a country we don’t seem to be making any progress towards getting fans back to any sports stadium/arenas.

Last weekend there were 2,700 fans watching rugby at the Harlequins - Bath game in London. Unfortunately the game went badly for Harlequins so many fans left early haha. On Monday 1,000 fans (I think 1,000, maybe more) will be allowed in to watch Harlequins - Gloucester in Gloucester. So there is progress, but of course these are outdoors.

I watched a KHL game from Riga the other day, the allowed attendance ratio was 1 in 10, so 1000 in a 10000 seat venue.

1000 fans in a 10000 seat arena wouldn't bother them in the slightest financially

I attended 2 of Jokerits pre-season friendlies which were held in a small arena which was around half full. However some KHL teams have since had positive tests and a number of games are now being cancelled and players put in quarantine, Finnish authorities are also not too keen on teams/fans coming over from Russia - Finland has escaped very lightly from Covid 19 so far ( deaths in low hundreds). The reality for the EIHL is that this season will not happen and we just need to keep everything crossed that enough teams will still be standing to have a competitive league in 11 months time.

You mustn't read anything into this, but there's a big red Panthers liveried pick up truck outside the NIC right now, loading up massive holdalls of hockey gear, taking it away...

Watching the French football now, they've let limited numbers in, but for some reason allowed them all to sit next to each other.

Sadly inevitable.
Interesting part for me is 'may not include all teams'. Suspect NB's teams & one other for sure will abscond from the whole season.

Would like to know what's happening with Tim Wallace as I hear no league then no job. will be interesting to see which other teams are keeping their coaches on throughout the closure or will all teams follow suit.

Heard a few months ago Giants wouldn't ice a team again within the EIHL. Not sure if that meant a different league or set up for 21/22.

All the playing/non playing staff for the on ice product received the same 'letter of intent' back in June. They all come under the same umbrella.
