Regards indoor entertainment the knowledge has remained the same . Its clear cut theres no ifs buts or maybes! At the moment. That doesn't mean it'll be the same in 6 months.

But you're missing the point in 6 months there will be little point in having a season at all. Starting in December is to late for a full season. Half a season still requires the same about of running costs as it does for a full season . The little clubs would never survive on that.

How does half a season incur the same running costs as a full one? It doesn’t cost the same but there are certain costs that stay the same or very similar like flights, equipment, player visa’s/cards etc etc whether a player comes for seven months or four. Realistically they can’t or won’t start indoor sport before at least December,so four to five months is probably the maximum season length possible. Small teams won’t sustain bringing over 14 imports unless they’re getting at least a 50 to 60 game season and your not playing that many games in only four to five months. If you did then it would be madness and crowds would suffer with so many games crammed closely together.

So bring in fewer imports, or imports from Europe instead of NA.
Whatever next season is, it's not going to be normal. Adapt to whatever you can get out of it - if circumstances allow us to get anything out of it at all.

Statement from Forest today stating that ST refunds will "of course" be available for those who want them for the remainder of the season. They do however offer several options for supporters who don't wish to pursue a refund OFFERING them the chance to donate the money to the club and thanking them with gestures of goodwill like iFollow passes for the behind closed doors games, cup tickets when things return to normal or club shop credit. Neil Black, take note. Forest have outlined how much it would cost the club if everybody claimed refunds (over £1m) and outlined the effects this would have on the club if everybody were to claim the refund. Now I understand the finances are vastly different in hockey but this kind of transparent message to the fans, asking them to help the club yet realising they have no right to just expect that of their fans is fantastic engagement with the fan base. I really hope the Panthers look and learn and offer something similar because a statement like this and 99% of fans will happily donate their money. The 1% likely need that money to support their families during a pandemic. Just expecting fans to take a few Mickey Mouse games doesn't work. They must at the very least make a refund an option. Link below for anybody interested in a read. Proud of my Football Club today, as and when more is known about the next installment of EIHL I would hope to feel the same about my Hockey Club. www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/news/2020/june/letter-from-the-chairman-120620/Good luck to anyone who hope to get their money back off Mr Black!

I'm amazed the league havent come out and made the announcement. I'm sure they are in denial. Especially the clubs who have been selling ST as per normal! Pidge - you want the EIHL to run as a professional sports league 😂😂

Something to keep an eye on maybe. Apparently there's a big Boxing Card scheduled for The O2 in October. From what I've gathered, they are selling tickets.
This is from a Boxing Forum

I'm not sure how they can start selling tickets when the government havent cleared it for indoor entertainment venues to scrap social distancing!! After the scenes at Bournemouth beach lockdown2 is on the way anyway!!

Maybe we can all cover the inside of our rinks with giant beach posters, then we will all be allowed in, that could work.

There's a reason that we are seeing spikes locally in meat packing plants, and that is that they are chilled environments, with close proximity of many people. This virus seems to "like" the cold. That's not a good thing for hockey...

That's not a good thing for hockey... Or for Autumn/Winter in general. The second wave of this, if it happens, could be a lot harder to naturally eradicate.

And as predicted Intu goes bust For the Clan, it's going to boil down to one simple matter. As long as any new owner coming in sees value in the footfall the arena brings, Clan will carry on as normal. The issue and then problems occurring will of course be, if they don't have that view. At the very least, I'd be right on the phone to Murrayfield Ice Rink if I were Clan management.

And Edinburgh did so well getting folk in before...

I wouldn't, been to that Rink once. Not in a hurry to go back, besides, it'd be like the Glasgow Rocks basketball team but only in reverse, Rocks started out as Edinburgh Rocks and then moved to Braehead and becoming Scottish Rocks then moved to Kelvin Hall and became the Glasgow Rocks, now they play at Emirates Arena.

Has varied from high hundreds to over a thousand usually going to Caps v Clan matches. I'm sure even more would go for "home" matches there, the problem would be getting fans do that for more than one season. We're not there yet in any event, we can only wait to see how things play out.

The problem would be getting numbers to go on a regular basis,an odd away game in Edinburgh is one thing, but doing it regularly every week is quite another. Plus with Mr Blacks way of calculating his team budget spend reflecting bums on seats you’d be watching an even poorer quality Clan team than you’ve had even in the last two or three years !

Hugely optimistic. Right when the second wave will hit, which will be harder to eradicate at that time of year.
