Kelman knows nothing what anyone else knows. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to know hockey without crowds isnt sustainable!! Hes said what Neil Black said weeks ago.. keep up man
Not doom and gloom, just reality! Deal with it

So those in EIHL towers have released a statement outlining their return to play.
Smithy admits it isn't feasible with no fans attendance. no poo poo sherlock.
December start and finish first week in May..
..and the survey says.. X

It's hugely optimistic at very best. No wonder some teams aren't signing players.

It may be optimistic but at least it’s a plan, They surely need some sort of plan, will it happen probably and sadly no, but should it happen and no one knows the answer to that one, they need to be in the drivers seat.

Should it happen? What do you mean should it happen? There's no obligation or duty for should at all. If you mean should as in probability then as Pidge says it's extremely doubtful and very best case scenario.
It either can happen of can't based on the virus situation over the coming Months, there's no should about it.
Edit - Just read the release again, they need 'full' attendance by December.... PMSL!!!! Absolutely no chance whatsoever, that is completely unworkable.

Argumentative little bugger ain’t you, I give up. Not my fault you can't handle the reality of the situation. From day one on the topic you've been in pure unadulterated denial. Post after post of wishful thinking worthless deluded spam with totally no substance. Appreciate you giving up though. Admittance is halfway on the journey.

It’s not the situation to be honest, and it’s certainly not a denial point, I certainly understand the season is up in the air. But by god you are certainly one of the most draining negative, and boring individuals I have ever fortunately not met. Happy Hockey Days .

I've been right from day one on the whole situation. If you deem draining, negative & boring as completely accurate & correct then so be it. Fact is you don't like the truth, on any topic. I've told you many a fact over many a situation and you do your usual & go running with your tail firmly tucked.

Keep loving yourself dude, there’s not many of you geniuses left. Hopefully some day you will love the sport and love your club, although I wouldn’t hold my breath, stay safe and carry on with that huge ego, I can only wish you well you certainly need it.

Agree Jord - why are the EIHL even doing this - concerts at the arena are being cancelled left right and centre but the Panthers are to play hockey matches in the very same arena - you couldn’t make it up!

They have to do something to appease the fan base. That's a given. I actually give them credit for the press release in all but content, they've been far too quiet. However, anyone with a modicum of common sense knows how totally impracticable the possibility is.

I think they are waiting to see what other indoor sports are doing.
The O2 has a Boxing and a Tennis event listed, not sure what Darts, Netball or Basketball are doing.
TBH, I can certainly see Football, Rugby and Cricket wanting fans as well but it's different because they are outdoor.

TV deals will bail out nearly all the ones you mention here. Ice Hockey in the UK is a huge minority sport, there's no dressing that up in the slightest. It's a cast iron fact. The clubs know, as a league structure, they cannot survive without the fans. Sure one of two are prepared & happy to dip deeper in to their own pockets as is readily known but the league is only as strong as its lowest turnover team(s). It needs all to survive. Wait and see with a showing of posture and planning is the only approach they can currently take.

The other big problem is that when you are allowed in into indoor sports/arenas is that a huge number won't be prepared to go anyway (if they have any sense at all) so they would all have bucket collections by Christmas together with the 50/50 tickets.

Only the very committed will attend, they will have to give tickets away by the thousands. It's a complete non starter & will take a huge change of perception to Covid for it to alter by Christmas.
