This team cannot play a 60 min game, early season goals have dried up, we stopped skating in the 3rd and just put hopeful sticks in thus giving up soft penalties. It is so frustrating, I have been watching this club for 35 plus years and now I really don't see why I should pay £20 to go to the next game, no entertainment value at all. This is not fun to watch.

They wouldn't care mate, there's plenty of people willing to go and sit through anything they can chuck at them.

Thought i would leave it while before posting on that game, again we manage to grab defeat from the jaws of victory, a pathetic third period stupid penalties especially Pither cost us and the result was just predictable in the end. The whole team needs a shake up, cant keep a lead and simply panic as soon as the presuure is on the D.A team of chokers . I think this is when we see if this coach is good enough to sort them out and maybe get rid of a couple.

I was looking forward to seeing how much Lepine had improved over the last couple of years in bigger leagues but so far I have been hugely disappointed. But he’s just set up for the biggest cheer as he’s announced onto the ice so I suppose he’s keeping the sheep happy.

I'm a little surprised to see how things are turning out for you guys.
I was impressed with some of your signings over the summer and thought you would be up there challenging. Looking at the league table, it's only by virtue of games played you are anywhere near the top. That is in complete contrast to us, who I expected to struggle after watching Thompson's signings in the summer.
How on earth have Cardiff got 8 games in hand this early in the season??
We gave up on challenging for the league weeks ago, looks like you've just joined us. Panthers and Steelers both out of the league hunt in October. Shambolic, from both organisations.

Your current problem is that you’ve had a team assembled without enough quality, but you do have the structure and people within your club who have what it takes, once you get the right players you’ll be challenging again. You’re club has the staff and fans with right mentality, we don’t. There’s something deeply wrong within our club. There are many aspects that need changing, some are on-ice in terms of personnel, there are other off-ice issues that aren’t directly team related but I do believe affect performances. Our club is failing to make hay whilst the sun shines, an average crowd of around 5700 for the last few years with numbers rising so far this season, double the numbers that Cardiff get and we can’t even put up a prolonged challenge. I don’t know if people think I’m over reacting but I’m just so angry and frustrated that certain things have changed, which I thought were part of the problem, but we’re still seeing the same outcome and it shouldn’t be the case.

Roster always looked short on goals. Ethos at the club is the biggest problem as the same thing happens every season. Great starts and then drop off.

I keep thinking back to the day I stood on Bolero Square a dozen years ago and asked Dion Darling why Panthers never challenged for the league He pointed his arms towards town and widened them apart then said “that’s why”. It’s too cushy in Pantherland, players come in chomping at the bit and play well for a few weeks, then suddenly realise there is no pressure or competition here for your spot so they slack off and just enjoy Nottingham life. We should gas a player and replace him, then sign a couple of good extra imports to keep them all fighting for their spot.

Had we moved out of town on a development project I feel things would be a lot different. Things wiĺl never change irrespective of who the GM/owner is ! Trying to keep 20+ players focused for 54 games is pretty much impossible when you have so much distraction nearby. If Panthers and Cardiff exchanged players the outcome would be pretty much the change I feel.

The trouble with you is you want us to be run like a professional ice hockey club(and so would a lot more) but it aint gonna happen, the answer is and you know it. The two only constants who have been here since the first puck was dropped, and they don't give a toss as long as the money is rolling in.

Its a business .. sport is a business if they ain't making money they ain't doing their job. Swapping and changing players every time we lose a game doesn't work either. What would you like to see from the management to give you the impression they care

It’s not a case of showing they care. It’s a case of looking at our recent results and either being happy with them, in which case don’t do anything, or thinking this isn’t good enough for club of his size and making changes.
Only those wearing rose coloured spectacles would see that things need shaking up. But like others have already said we can write as much as we like on here but if those at the top are happy with their profit margins things ain’t gonna change soon as that would mean spending money now.

Cardiff seem to manage their 20+ players quite nicely and keep them focussed through a season though Pidge. And even when they’ve played CHL too which has always been a very convenient rose tinted Panther fans excuse when ever we’ve played CHL or Conti but struggled in the league. Panthers trouble is we don’t spend the money we could,if we did the player quality might offset the distraction of Nottingham life. Where is our real quality the likes of which Cardiff have ? In any case, from what I hear Cardiff is not exactly dull in terms of being a party town at night, it’s no doubt got more than it’s fair share of pubs, clubs, casinos and hockey slappers !

Remember this is the same set of players who started the season well!! Is this really down to quality?

And you’re right nothing will change whilst ever people say nothing and keep turning up and handing over their money every week. Keep most of your money in your pocket is what i suggest people do,but that’s up to them,it’s what I’m doing though. Judging by tomorrow nights crowd and next Fridays it looks like more than a few more might be learning too. Oh well, roll on next Sunday evening. 😉

It doesn't matter now if all Panthers hardcore fanbase stopped going as there's a good 2500-3000 casuals/newish fans go now due to the CITY CENTRE LOCATION mate

We need to give Rich time to turn it around. I certainly think he might make changes earlier than other coaches have but the lack of confidence is a concern.
Totally agree about the 2 at the top and i think the only way something might change would be if attendances dropped a lot.

Our new coach is just as much under the thumb of NB as Corey was, there is no change, NB still has the last say on everyone and everything. Rich might be more vocal but he is still told what to do and who will work with him. ie Dan Green

Iginla, you know the answer, your going to disappear up your own hairy bum in a minute. They don't give a f... as long as there making money. Cardiff have hockey people running there club, it's a different world for them. They also have a club that listen to, or consider, their supporters which is the major difference.

Oh I’m quite aware of that. I’m not one who turns up every week, pays my money, sits back and says nothing whilst being content to watch what should be the leagues No1 team take the pee again and let yet another season go down the drain ! Nothing would please me more than to watch attendances drop like a stone for a while, because then Panthers would do something to change. That’s why Steelers react, because they know their fans will vote with their feet rather than suffer crap on the ice.

I was sat with my head in my hands quietly fuming at the end of last nights game. Another game throwin away after leading. A game against a team with a shorter bench than us. Meanwhile I’m sat surrounded by folk whooping and cheering and giving the team a standing ovation! Why? Yes I said something at the time. Will it change anything. No. Never mind, there was some great fancy dress and the next quiz night can’t be far away.
