Modig starts and parent scratched for graham. Reall could use Max's toughness and sit graham or Higgins. We need to put new guys on PP as it needs something. And NOT a forward as a D man.

We had no intensity. They were first to every puck. Don't think we deserved the points.
Power play awful
Face offs awful
Refereeing wasn't great but that's no excuse, we just weren't good enough

What a night to put in a performance like that. Easily the worst performance post Xmas.
We sucked. Did Graham play? As for the powerplay. Worse than hopeless.
As Brian Clough used to say "we got what we deserved. Nowt".
So disappointed with that performance. League title aspirations gone for another season.

Can somebody explain to me what Parent did to deserve to be dropped in favour of a player who has just returned from injury and was already having a poor season?
Also, Lawrence may be our top scorer but he often has his head in the clouds, not thinking about the hockey game he's playing in.

Yet again the 3 goals Sheffield score are 2 Powerplay ones and a POOR giveaway for a SH. 5 on 5 I STILL believe we are better than them. But we're hurting ourselves with the penalties.
I also think playing Mosey on D hurts us. Really can't wait until Lee is back and we can use Mosey as a forward again.

We didn't deserve the win at all, too many players coasting. We only had that game to play this weekend and we were disgraceful. Graham should not have played that game as his first back Parent should have started imo.
Hicks the less said about him the better. The guys a joke.

Agree with all the above. A lot of players just didn't turn up tonight - we got what we deserved.

The league has probably gone anyway but the last few games we have played like absolute crap again. I have to say that Steelers deserved the win.

I thought he was terrible tonight.

Lawrence getting the usual attraction. God knows what game people are watching. He wasn't great tonight but others namely Graham & Cohen were easily far worse.
Poor performance, started very flat. Terrible boarding call by Hicks on Schmidt but we weren't close to good enough.

like been said we got what we deserved tonight, cant argue with whats been said at all, huge mistake tonight leaving parent out for graham. modig cost us the short handed goal changed his mind and and got his positing all wrong. i see the steelers winning the championship now.

All the old problems before the purple patch were back tonight. Toothless forwards, don't win enough faceoffs, failure to clear the zone and an abysmal powerplay. Cannot understand why Parent was scratched for Graham but would it have made any difference? The whole team coasted around for 57 minutes, only increasing the intensity for the last 3. Very poor team performance and got what they deserved.

No direction, no plan, not much of anything really. How many times do our players skate into each other? Isolated forward trying to hold off two oppo players before he can try and make a pass. When we all turn up to play we are an average side, when we don't(which is more often than not) we are poor. This season has been poor, sexy Neilson hockey is a thing of the past half these players cant play anyway. My take so far this season leads me to believe a change on the bench hight be what's needed, maybe let Strax go or a complete clear out. Not knee jerk just looking at the season so far.

Graham has been terrible all season and didn't think it needed a mention to be honest and I would have Wild over Cohen any day if he was fit.

Terrible boarding call by Hicks on Schmidt but we weren't close to good enough. I did also state that Graham was poor, but I was watching the Lawrence who on more than one occasion had the puck passed to his stick but wasn't paying attention as he was gliding along leading to us icing the puck. The same Lawrence that got in a tangle on the Steelers blue line leading to a break away. Why was he even on the blue line not his usual left circle position? And to round it off he had the bare faced cheek to sarcastically applaud the ref after the game!

The intensity and passion was simply not there tonight, far too many players just going through the motions. I guess Benny got man of the match for his effort tonight, despite his zero output.
Our powerplay is an embarrassment. We simply can't win a face off and then are completely incapable of even getting the puck back over the blue line. Steelers second goal was just a comedy of errors. Awful drop pass by Jucina, someone should of just took a penalty on the half way line & then Modig didn't know if he was coming or going.
At least now everyone can see that this team simply is not good enough to win the league. We have scratched and scraped a few results since Xmas, winning games we didn't really deserve and then last 3 games we have been found out.
Time to get Wild & Lee fit for the challenge cup and playoffs now, see what we can salvage from another pretty poor season.

Lawrence gets far more stick here than Graham yet he has been the better player all season by some distance.
Anyway, great to have Stef back. The kids game was pretty cool as well. News Paws though...... Jeez.
