Well this Steelers fan attended and really enjoyed the game. An incredible spirited performance from Nottingham. I actually almost gave it a miss because I expected Giants to kill the game off early.. Which is probably why the other Steelers fans DID go ;-) But for me, drama like that makes me forget about rivalries.. It's games like that which will help our league flourish. What a damn shame it wasn't on TV eh? Oh just to add.. I was doing Audio for @ukhl last night and captured the Penalties as they happened - t.co/L1PcUwNFNpThanks for the link...enjoyed the PS you covered...needed you last night when the Radio Nottingham link was lost for me for that very last Giants miss.....

A heartfelt sincere congratulations.
I've been stuck in a cloud of disbelief since leaving the NIC last night.
But the spirit, pace and determination the Panthers showed last night bulldozed them to that trophy.
You all are no doubt, rightly, proud.
Well done.

Keefe was probably still suffering a hangover judging by the state of him in Rockies on Saturday

In fairness, many fair comments from Belfast fans on this. Added to that, the positive comments from Sheffield and Coventry fans on here too. Had to do a double take on this one on KOTG though:-
"If you had to give up 1 of the 4 trophies on offer it would be the CC."
Seriously?

Have to say I thought we'd be dead and buried after the first period but when we went up 2-0 I started to believe, I was nervous for 4-4 in OT as there sole goal came on a 4-4 but the penalty helped and I actually thought we'd finish it there.
Come the shoot out my throat was sore from all the shouting but I was really confident Kwall would see us through.
An outstanding night and after the season we have it was hugely appreciated to secure some silverware I thought we'd never see this year. It's certainly made me confident for the visit of Braehead on Thursday, so let's hope it's another epic night.

... Let's hope they can muster some energy from somewhere for Thursday .... everyone of them left everything on the ice last night.

Well after enduring the 2 games in Belfast I glibly remarked to all around me that its just a 4 nil or 5-1 win for us on the 2nd leg only for some reason to see pained expressions on peoples faces. Well it was neither of my "predictions" but we won and we won proud. K wall was brilliant as was the rest of the team, Corey, I think we believe!!!

No fan in their right mind would take a conference title over a Cup Final win though. I realise the guy that posted it is only one person but it's just a ridiculous POV and one that i doubt many (if any) fans would share. Of course the conference trophy is more important to them, they had to buy it remember. wise up at least we don't charge £5 per head to get a photo with a trophy Where does this £5 per head to get a photo with the trophy come from? All I can find is £5 for the DVD of the game:- www.panthers.co.uk/content/final-dvds-photos-cup-and-souvenir-magazine

Didnt see this coming at all, especially with the doom and gloom i normally see on here recently
Well done and hearty congratulations on your win, outstanding performance against a seemingly invincible Giants side.
You just showed one of the reasons i have learned to love this sport over the years...
Well done Panthers, and especially to all you deserving fans.

Agree with Darnell. Only thing I would question is why Francis got a 2 minute pen when he did to make it 4 on 4...and that led to their goal!

If the team and the fans believe this I can see Hull making the final 4

If the team and the fans believe this I can see Hull making the final 4 So can I, Hull are very good at home and have plenty of goals in them. How much will last night have hurt Belfast?

I thought it was pretty even really, we were better first period, they were better second and the third and overtime were even. The big difference was in goal. Some of Darnell's calls were a bit odd, they always are, but we also punished them with good powerplay work. Think he needs to ask why their forwards weren't clicking really though, guys like Szwez didn't really make any impact when they needed them. Should've done everything they could last Friday to bury us when they were in the ascendancy on home ice, let us off the hook and paid for it.

We were in 14 and could have sworn blind it came off the inside of the net just to the right side of Murphy.

ha ha ha ha ....... this really made me smile, I suggest you read almost all the reports by your own supporters after almost every game Panthers play win or lose they blame the ref's and lino's. that being said, fantastic victory for the Panthers last night, fully deserved CONGRATULATIONS Was in relation to your players chasing the officials at every break in play. Very tiresome. Having seen every side at our gaffe no others to at to the same extreme imo. Must be an in house thing. I dunno. Thanks for the congrats though.

We were in 14 and could have sworn blind it came off the inside of the net just to the right side of Murphy. Got to agree with you there - we sit high up in Block 7 and are right on the goal line. When the shot came in, there was no 'Ping' as if it had hit the post or bar, which led me to thinking that it had rebounded from the netting just behind the corner of the post / bar, but it all happened so quickly, only a super slo-mo camera could have picked it up ....... where are the Elite League Disciplinary Crew when you really need 'em?

Was sat in Block 9, Row B, seat 2 so very close to Murphy's goal. Fairly sure it hit the post and came out.
