Got zero expectations for this, bad enough having to compete with injuries but it sounds like Henley was selfish this evening and made a tough ask even harder. Roll on next season ASAP!

Cant say Im confident, Belfast are such a strong side it was going to be theirs to lose on home ice but with our injuries and suspensions its looking like an even harder task.

Any more than a 1 goal deficit and it will be a tough ask but I'm still going to say 3-2 Panthers.

Sometimes, just sometimes teams can go and get a result when their backs are against the wall.
Leave it all on the ice on Friday, coast it on Saturday.

Is there going to be additional coverage of the away leg (Giants TV or Radio Notts)?

If we can get a draw in belfast I'll be thrilled to bits.

Corey has the ability to get this team to perform in one off games. I didn't think we would be 5-0 up at one point against the Steelers. If we draw or win that's fantastic. If we are 2-3 behind then we're up against it. but with this team no one really knows who will turn up and perform

We could be 2 goals down and turn it around, or 2 goals up and lose the 2nd leg. The current side are quite capable of doing both. But given the current state of the squad injury wise, I could easily see us being 3-4 goals down after Friday. I'm hoping they put everything into Friday and that K-wall has one of those games.

Panthers to win it by a couple.
Maybe something like 6-4 over the 2 legs.

Brent Henley will miss the cup final, both legs, after disciplinary chiefs handed down a three game ban after he received a match penalty for cross-checking in Coventry yesterday.
He also misses Saturday's league game in Belfast as well as the first leg of the cup final in Northern Ireland on Friday and next Tuesday's second leg in Nottingham

Agreed, I would have him on a jet home now, the season is over for us anyway... I am raging at this, I was not there but I heard this is well deserved and that he was bang out of order.

Got to get a good start in this one and hope murphy is in rebound form.
We are well capable of getting a result with a bit of luck and a ton of effort.
If we are within 2 goals at the end of the first leg we've got a chance at home.

Is there going to be additional coverage of the away leg (Giants TV or Radio Notts)? Will there be any DVD from us or Belfast after the event? Considering that the Trading Cards seem to be amiss this season I doubt Panthers are much bothered about anything this season themselves. If anyone hears or knows of TRADING CARDS and DVD's put out please let me know via PM ...ta.

Not looking forward to sitting through this now, hopefully the Guinness haze will ease the pain (and memory) of it, unless there is a miraculous surprise of course ... heart says 3-2 panthers, head says 4-1 Giants

This time last week, I had a good feeling about this one. Then the weekend happened.
So, we'll be playing an import down and Matt Francis looks very doubtful through injury. Can't see Benedict making it either. Looks as though Lee, Kalus and Farmer could play but it's anybody's guess as to what level of fitness they're at.
Unless K-wall has one of those nights where he stands on his head, i can see us coming back with a deficit that may well be to much to overcome. Hope I'm wrong of course. Hope K-wall does stand on his hand and we can sneak a result. Even a 1 goal deficit would give us a chance.

5-1 Belfast and nothing to play for in the second leg.
