Glynn..... your 'argument' might hold some water if it weren't for the fact that:- 1) A whole load of your fans do exactly what Simms wants and hurl the same abuse 2) Every time this subject is even mentioned (by anyone!) all we ever hear from Sheffield fans is a brick-wall defence of their club's official policy of hate and of those perpetrating it.
We in Nottingham didn't initiate or sustain this hate campaign - that's all come from Sheffield. To moan about us not rolling over and begging for more is somewhat hypocritical to say the least. Try putting your own house in order - you made the mess, YOU clear it up.

The shear attraction of playing the Panthers, our biggest rivals, will bring out all the Steelers who can't or won't pay the extortionate £13 to watch some/most other games. Due to the intensity of a Panthers v Steelers game I'm sure we'll see a reasonable crowd, but unlikley to be over 5000 unfortunately Perhaps a tad optimistic there Glynn - Doom thought you might manage to get above 3000 with a bit of luck Is the entertainment at the Hallam (or is it Ice Sheffield... or perhaps Queens Road might be better suited these days.... ).... is the entertainment so dire that you've had to resort to a bit of Panther baiting to cheer yourself up? Tut tut - you bad lad

How come it's always you that trys to continue the same old "I hate the Steelers, and I'll only consider them as human beings once they get rid of Simmsy!" Yet again, you come out with the inaccurate assumptions about me to support your so-called argument. I do not - as I have stated repeatedly for years - "hate the Steelers". There are several Sheffield fans whom I consider to be friends, for a start. What I despise is the way the club has made it their official policy to hate-monger against us, and I also despise the hypocrisy of so many Sheffield types of supporting and defending this whilst whingeing about the slightest 'slur' on their character. Comments? What comments? A mere handful over years, no more or less than any other club! To even compare that to the tidal wave of vitriol and hatred that has spewed out of Sheffield is laughable. Get a sense of proportion.

Want to see how many Steelers we have on here? Have a look on Sunday!! ;D Glynn and Shaggy love to argue ... it's all part of the Cage ...

I would If I saw or heard it, truth is I find that real "hate" for the Panthers is restricted to a few Numpties, as is the reverse towards Sheffield! There you go again..... Sheffield and Simms are the root of all Evil. And you say that you don't Sustain any hate campaign. Here's a tip, Ignore Simmsy! It'll stop you reading in anti-Panthers stuff into everything he speaks or writes.

Alrite P3ter, alrite... maybe i was wrong!
Craig I'm about to post summin not pointless so brace yourself.
From a neutral standpoint, looking at this thread.... and the mention of the "hate" campaign.... it really seems to me that the rivalry between the (former??) top 2 teams in the country has turned into a bitter hatred between fans and a constant flow of petty arguments about nothing.
Sort it out........

I banned the rest! ;D No ... there's loads if you look around, I'd guess our largest 'visiting' members would be Steelers and Devils. A hand full of Blaze, there's a few Giants, a couple of Londoners .... a few others not forgetting the Mancs .... I think the only team not regularly represented on here is Bison ... but I stand to be corrected on that ...

As far as I am aware the reason Folk stay away from the smelly dump known as Sheffield is because of the totally disgraceful way the Panthers fans get treated by him, nothing to do with how he is when Dundee are in town The Blaze fans get short thrift too. We always get patronised as a plucky little club despite our away following there probably being second behind yours

BTW... there is No "Official" hate mongering from this side of the Cresswell Crags, to believe that there is extremely far fetched, and untrue.
I'm off to bed, some of us can't stay up through the night debating Simmsy's comments, I'd fall asleep too quickly!

glynn in sunny nottingham we have been paying £13 upwards for some seats for several years now, as for being nice to away fans well if you can only draw 2500ish fans to your saturday night game then maybe the tactic of slagging off the away fans to draw in the home crowd has failed so isnt it time then to be nice to the away fans, maybe its them that will make to difference to the survival of your club come the end of the season?? ;D

Deary me! And I thought you guys were being nasty to the Blaze fans! You guys really need to sort all this bitterness out. Have a banter yeah but no need to be out of order just for the sake of it. Rich we get it bad off Simmsy too despite the fact he is Thommos "best mate"

It's hockey, we ALL love hockey, lets watch hockey! (Sheffield Arena, 7pm Saturday - It'll probably be a cracker!) Are you sure about that Glynn? The way our two teams are playing at the moment there might not be much hockey on display! ;D From what I've read on our respective forums it should be the "Battle for the Wooden Spoon" by the sound of it... ;D Might catch up with sometime Saturday - unless the sellout before I get my ticket!

No disrespect intended Rich (as seemed to be taken on another thread) ... The phrase 'Never the twain shall meet .." could have been penned for the Steelers/Panthers .... it's raged for years and as an outsider I don't think you'll ever quite understand how deep the feelings run for some. It's been a long old slog .... the rivalry has meant a lot of revenue for each club for sure, but it's done some irrepairable harm ....

Just cos you've been paying £13 for 3 years (without a increase IIRC) doesn't mean that WE should be thankful for paying the same! In fact it seems quite convienient that our teams both charge £13 now, well it is for some people at least

I look forward to seeing you, BJ, Yp and maybe a few others, eh Shaggy & Texpef? I think we'll have a few seats spare, but be there early just in case I think Saturday could be the tonic for whichever of the two can manage to motivate their players enough to win, I do hope it isn't a dull draw.
