After a day at work that was more torturous than Sunday night in Hull, I would like to thank every person on this thread for cheering me up no end ;D Glynn started a post that showed Sheffield in a positive light and was blasted!! come on folks, how many threads are started on here when something that is percieved as negative occurs ie. comments from Simmsey. I am one of those friends of the Shagster (aka. Shaggy) and he is entitled to his opinions on our team and orgainsation. At the end of the day he isnt in a positin of power so can, as a fan, say what he wants - not to say i agree much but who cares, i'll still have a beer with him (if he pays ) I AM one of the Steelers fans who posts on here. Back in the days when I lived on th net (althought my other half still moans that I do now) i posted on most teams forums. These days this is the only non steelers/THF forum I go on most days. Why?? Not because I have a secret love for Nottingham (careful), or because I like to see how we wind each other up. But I find this place a genuine good laugh, I can take abuse and I can take a roasting but at the end of the day we all love this sport and no-one matters more than us - the fans. And to all those on here I havent met, i have my name on my back these days, i'll be the one texpef is trying to avoid Just remember who was the first to congratulate you on your cup success while your at the bar! Peace to all men (and Big Dave Steeler) ;D

Glynn started a post that showed Sheffield in a positive light Is that not a contradiction in terms.....? ;D Only kidding - nowt wrong with Sheffield, especially if it's someone elses round Nice one Hitchy - thanks for those kind words - nice to know our efforts are appreciated. As are your perceptive and frequently humourous contributions. The more the merrier.

If everyone from Sheffield had their names on the backs of the shirts, I would still find it confusing unless you had numbers as well.....
I guess Troll 1, Troll 2, Troll 3, Troll 4, would compliment the real friends of the cage from Sheffield who wear their names on their shirts.

Now now Shorty that's not very nice! There's a world of difference between a true Troll and someone that does a mishevious bit of light trolling every now and again .... Most of us fall into the latter category, there aren't many of the former as their Cage memberships don't seem to last too long!

Blimey! Thought I'd better to post to show I've done my job as a mod and ploughed through all this rubbish! Ye Gods, and I thought that the standard of posting /debate on here would get better once the season started and we had something worth talkin about! Are we now going to have every other team in the league posting HERE when someone from somewhere else says something positive about their arena/announcer/management ?? Will the next thread be from Basingstoke putting up a link to someone who thought that their rink was warm?? I think I, yet again, need to point out that this is the PANTHERS forum, and if its not about Panthers, its unlikely we'll be that interested ! For heavens sake, GlynnM you were blatantly trying to stir things up - the only resolution to the Steelers V Panthers debate is to let it lie! I do wish folk here wouldn't reply though - its just more of the same boring same Panthers V Steelers to plough through As for lack of moderating - this isn't primary school you know! We don't watch every word, every intonation and every intention. There's a saying ... if you can't take the heat, get out of the frying pan.... So... anyone who needs to - grow up, lets look forward to this coming weekend, and ignore the obvious windup attempts coming out of the North! Lynne - just waking up from reading this thread

Well said Lynne ;D Maintaining the trend Glynn has started I'm off to post something totally pointless about Panthers on Squealtalk... How about.... "I saw <insert player name here> in starbucks the other day..."

Lynne & Cookies, I respect you both as member of this forum, But you both are wrong. Yes Lynne, I know you are a member of forum admin, But I think you are wrongly accusing me of something here. I didn't/don't blatently stir things up. On this, and other occasions, I have posted information that I believe that the members of the cage would find informative and possibly useful, however, as you have rightly pointed out though, people are far too eager to jump on Me and anything that remotely puts Sheffield and especially Simmsy in a good light. Thats Sad! I don't need this constant rubbish thrown in my face, maybe I'll do what some numpties would like and keep my contribution to a Steelers forum, but that would just be the "easy" way out, or maybe I'll just create another username so I can really "Troll" the cage. Obviously I won't, I don't need to, PLUS BJ would get YP to snap my horn if I did! Anyone who attends a Panthers v Steelers game can easily come and talk to me (I have my name plasterd over most of the Many shirts I wear) and decide for themselves if I'm trolling or not, but usually Trolls hide behind their usernames, don't they. If the Shagster didn't wind himself up so much then maybe this place would be a better place, same goes for Texpef and Cookies. Chill out dudes

BTW, you'll have to pop up for the next Team 218 party, maybe catch a lift with BJ & YP if they can make it this time He enjoys a good arguement and he sure knows how to start one! ;D Usually without knowing and very innocently it seems, must be my aftershave! It appears my CK1 gets right under the noses of Shaggy, Cookies, Texpef and Newham in particular, they all must be sensitive to it. I'm not going to respond further, life's just too short to bother atm, plus I'll be at the Fife game tommorow. Night all.

(and not just Glynn who starts it btw). Glynn - apologies if I misjudged you. I thought that by now you had enough experience of the Cage to realise that such a post would lead to the inevitable storm Guess you're one of life's optimists and I'm just a hardened realist (pessimist?!). No offence intended and I certainly wouldn't hang a "Troll" sign around your neck... not until I see the pic of you under the bridge that is

I appreciate the reply Lynne, I am indeed a true optimist, well when it comes to hockey anyway. I do have to bow to realism, but I didn't believe that this particular piece of info would be turned around and used by some as Another stick to beat up Simmsy and the Steelers.
Right, I'm definately off to bed now!

steelergirl where is your involvement in this, anyone mention your name?? As for my comment it was merely to point out to glynn that he doesnt need to try to drag me into everything he does on here, its bordering on an obsession i could do live without. Dont want to be stalked by someone in colours to make me feel ill..... ;D

Glynn - No problems with your post... I just thought it was irrelevant to a Panthers forum. So no need to chill. But don't tell me you didn't have the wooden spoon out.
