Basically he was behind my mate who does the announcing and was giving it serious verbal all night last night about a number of topics. Also another of my friends heard a "rumour" (Unsubstantiated) about Gary Moran meeting Kirkham in the second period break for a chat. I cannot say for fact this happened but it certainly got the collective blood raging. But as my previous post pointed out we seem to have crowbarred ourselves into the upper echelon of the sport and yet bad situations seem to happen. Personally speaking I love going to the NIC and hope that Blaze fans will continue to be welcomed despite last nights events

Eeks I'm struggling with recent events Panthers fans despise Blaze fans Panthers fans despise Steelers management Blaze fans despise Panthers GM Steelers fans patronise Blaze fans Steelers fans are incredibly anti Panthers Blaze fans ripped Steelers for lack of Brits last year (Keeping quiet this year though) Can't we all get along? Well Steve, if you were to visit the Noose or the Enfield before the game on Saturday you should find quite a few of us getting on really quite well despite history between the clubs. Comes down to hockey really. Hockey fans usually get on with each other regardless of the team they support. No quarter given during the game mind... ;D

Sunday night was just an unfortunate incident - done and dusted for me. Yep, I saw Gary and Paul had a lengthy word with Simon Kirkham as he left the ice at the end of the second period. Likely regarding the Ahlroos incident.

You were first to break the three pound a pint mark though Glynn! I dread to think how much the beer is this year ... best I give Ocean Finance a ring before Saturday!! It's till £3 a pint, which amazed me, I was expecting £3.50 . However, that's still not acceptable for a beer which is quite clearly piped directly from the mens urinals ;D. As for the Simms debate: I agree that he's made comments regarding Nottingham in the local press which are out of order. But I certainly disagree when people say they're not coming to Sheffield because of the way Simmsey treats them in the House of Tin (or whatever you call it). For the last few years I think Simmseys behaviour to Panthers supporters during games has been impeccable. So both sides of this argument are partly right.....how's that for a bit of fence sitting? Regards Doom

What doesn't help the two clubs are the personal comments made by both supporters and the total lack of any reasonable moderating of offensive language and remarks to individuals who attempt to make reasonable points. Come on mods you should be the bench mark for the level of content on this forum.

Simmsey can be a bit over the top at times but I dont usually find him any problem these days. He is often quite funny (not always intentionally!). Indeed, he even wished us a happy Mothers Day a couple of years back - though not being a mother myself..... ;D Hope that isn't pallisade fencing you're sitting on Doom - would be most uncomfortable ;D

Nothing really surprising in the announcement for me. Including the away team in the announcements is nothing more that common courtesy as far as I'm concerned + I'm surprised that Dundee remarked on it. Maybe Mr. Simms reputation preceeded him?
As for the Steelers fans, we know that most of them are a good bunch really!

"total lack of any reasonable moderating" is a bit of a slur

..and completely OTT. "offensive language" is not possible due to the fudgeing filter ( ). To take offense at a bit of mild swearing is frankly pathetic. If you are that bothered, may I recommend: www.crochet.about.com/mpboards.htmas an alternative. The mods do a great job of maintaining a laid back feel to the forum IMO. Get off their back.

Come on mods you should be the bench mark for the level of content on this forum. That comment is way out of order Sooty. I think both Mark and BJ (as main admin, not ignoring the good work from the other mods) do a great job considering the ammount of trolls which do exist on both side of the trent.
