I was also sat directly in line and the puck was at least six inches over the line, people see different things.

Well done boys a stunning weekend!! I did have to laugh as they announced Hewitt as a bulldog. More like a yorkshire terrier all yap, no bite and basicaly an annoying little **** Did anyone buy a programme? They have on the page about us winning at their's and losing at home. Suppose it was just wishful thinking that they never went bottom of the league.

What pleases me most about this weekend is posts on Steeltalk that we bullied and intimidated the Steelers and they had no answer. This is the sort of thing I want from a Panthers team (although it has to be noted the the Steelers have a softer centre than a strawberry cream!) Let's hope we can do this the next time we play Belfast.

Well done boys, I really didn't think we had enough to take 4 points from a double header that has the pressure of Panthers vs Squealers but you proved me wrong. Great work and special mention to Rob Lachowicz who was outstanding at the NIC on Sat and by all accounts was superb again last night - well done.
Now keep it going Wednesday and beyond, now is the time to go on a big run of wins.

loving all thes comical posts from the usual suspects on steelbleat, talking of past achivements blah blah blah and trying to gloss over what was a pretty poor effort by the steelers at the weekend what has been a bad season.
Is there a more bitter man than that Elliot Hall... what a nimrod
hey they can talk about the past because as things are going they won t be having much a future unless attendances improve

I thought there were 17 quailty players on the ice last night. That showed passion and made sheffield look even worse than they are anyway. A special + though for Lacho who looks like he's benifiting from regular ice time in the EPL. Danny Meyers also had another solid night. If we can carry on in this way wait till Jomo and macca start scoring for fun again! It really all started after 5 mins on saturday though with Bruce kissing the panther on his shirt after his fight and the rest took note. As they say in Newcastle though thanks for the team talk Mr Hewitt!!!!

Well done lads. keep it up. Happy for the 4 points but if only Coventry lost on suday would of made it even better. Lacho anit doing bad to say he is a younger one. But gotta say i think mr. Hewitt is all gob and no do tbh. and expsets he can win with a team like his wich is preftic for a full grown man. you would expsect it from a lil 5 year old but .... Mr Hewitt just bloody grow up and take it, its 4-0 to us this season, soo up yours

Well, wearing neither Panthers glasses nor <shudder> Squeelers glasses, I saw something a little between what you lot and the bleaters are describing. Re that "goal", I thought that it went in but only just. Re who was the better team: Panthers but only just for the second and third. Generally, I thought it was a slow game where neither side showed anything like the passion I would expect (and have witnessed every year) in the derby weekend. Sheffield were lacking Basiuk. He was ours once and I did not miss the dear boy when he left. He is not tough. I have no idea how this reputation has come about. He is an adequate player who has, to be fair, improved at the Steelers. His absence is deffo not the cause of their loss. Sheffield were playing a typical Squeeler game. They were irritating to watch at times. Hands-up Hanson did a reasonable job of ignoring the more ridiculous behaviour of both teams. Panthers seem to have no D. Whoever said above the Danny had a great game surely cannot have been at the same game. He was shocking. Panthers are clearly operating on the score more than you and to hell with conceding goals principle. Fair enough but that might explain two periods of utter indifference by your netminder. Sounds like I am having a pop at everyone and I suppose I am, a little. My point is that what should be one of the most passionately contested and skillful games of the year in the Elite League was, in fact, dull and pedestrian in most senses. I shall pop my Phoenix-tinted glasses on for a moment to say that Lacho was immense for you last night. He outplayed vastly more experienced and better paid players on both sides and demonstrated that the speed of the EPL games (chaotic and less skillful but faster than the Elite) must have made him feel like the others were standing still. Must have been like being surrounded by Eddie C's! Let us hope that he and the Panthers are more classy than Farmer and the Steelers and that Lacho is left to honour his contract with us until the end of the season. Then NB can get his chequebook out. Not before though, eh?

Having read his drivel on Steelbleat seems he is just a tad bitter and falling back on Steelers past achievements. It's pillocks like him that make beating Sheffield so sweet.

They're in full 'look what we've won compared to them' mode on Steelbleat at the moment. Those two defeats must have really cut them deep! What they fail to realise is that past glories don't pay the bills, and the way they are hemorrhaging fans at the moment all they'll have left is memories.

Also just read SteelBleat and enjoyed it no end!! Now put all bias aside from both sides and it is still apparent that the fans of the Steelers have diminished intelligence (Sounds biased, I know!) But look at the grammar and spelling then imagine it being read aloud by one of the Dingles and it makes SteelTalk one of the funniest experiences to be had Bring on Wednesday!!! Happy New Year All!

I suppose not. But you do seem to enjoy talking about us on here. So do the Squeelers for that matter. It's ok. If you miss us, you can say. ;-)

They're in full 'look what we've won compared to them' mode on Steelbleat at the moment. Great ain't it. That just says to me "we've got nothing relevant to throw at you, so here's a trophy list you already know about that still doesn't hide the fact we're currently bobbins." I've seen more than my fair share of defeats at their expense but I do enjoy hearing about them at times like this because it means we're doing something right.
