The only issue would be the host 😂 Fantastic idea and I hope they think of it. Quick, somebody tell them it was Panthers idea and not the fans......then it might just happen ! 😐 Well they'll never admit they liked an idea from outside. The Panthers inner circle is all very Trumpesque.

With the recent improvement to the use of social media if they were to make an announcement at wednesdays event maybe they do a Facebook live/periscope broadcast of that moment. good idea The only issue would be the host 😂 Fantastic idea and I hope they think of it.

Surely this last signing would be better announced to a large audience (Ie. Social media) rather a hundred or so in a pub! Or at the same time? I don't think it really matters to be fair. If they announce at the event it will be out within seconds and the reaction would be the same. It's not like they make money from the announcements.

Pretty sure I remember the CHL saying teams were only allowed to use players that were going to be with the team for a full season and not just temporarily for CHL games. When? Because we were pretty overt in our strategy.

And they made little difference to the outcome. You'd need to have a separate roster to compete effectively, not just 5 guys.
We couldn't afford that for a whole season.

Do people aceusllt call the ECHL the 'coast' or is that GM trying to be cool?

Yeah young captains never win anything... Name | Team | Birth Date | Captaincy announced | Age at announcement | First game as captain | Age at first game | Type
| Cups (as Captain) | Connor McDavid
| Edmonton Oilers | January 13, 1997 | October 5, 2016 | 19 years, 266 days | October 12, 2016 | 19 years, 273 days | Permanent | 0 | Gabriel Landeskog | Colorado Avalanche | November 23, 1992 | September 4, 2012 | 19 years, 286 days | January 19, 2013 | 20 years, 57 days | Permanent | 0 | Sidney Crosby | Pittsburgh Penguins | August 7, 1987 | May 31, 2007 | 19 years, 297 days | October 5, 2007 | 20 years, 59 days | Permanent | 3 | Vincent Lecavalier | Tampa Bay Lightning | April 21, 1980 | March 1, 2000 | 19 years, 315 days | March 1, 2000 | 19 years, 315 days | Permanent | 1 | Jonathan Toews | Chicago Blackhawks | April 29, 1988 | July 18, 2008 | 20 years, 80 days | October 10, 2008 | 20 years, 164 days | Permanent | 3 | Steve Yzerman | Detroit Red Wings | May 9, 1965 | October 7, 1986 | 21 years, 151 days | October 9, 1986 | 21 years, 153 days | Permanent | 3 | Jim Schoenfeld | Buffalo Sabres | September 4, 1952 | September 1, 1974 | 21 years, 362 | October 14, 1974 | 22 years, 40 days | Permanent | 0 |
These are all highly elite players. A different breed to the players we have here. Have you got any EIHL examples?

Happy but doesn't look like we are finishing the roster with blockbusters.
The team looks capable but nothing special on paper.

So looking at the roster are we focussing on the domestic campaign? No short term contract like during our last venture into the CHL and the quality overall look very 'domestic'.
I know this could change with the last signings but I can't see a huge impact from the amount of spots we have left.
Are we entering the CHL as an 'also ran' willingly with domestic success being the jewel on the crown. NB knows the CHL is a glitzy side show with little chance of progressing out of the group stages.
That said I feel our roster doesn't scream dominance domestically but we should be in the mix.

CN did change it a bit for the Play-offs and I remember being annoyed at thinking we'd broken up my favourite line of Farmer, Lawrence & Janssen and we'd loose their chemistry, but to his credit it worked. However more on the original topic, Kolnik, Moran and Mosey were definitely our first line in the last month or so (When Mosey had a 10+ game point streak), and IIRC stuck together for the play-offs. Agreed. I was annoyed as well but it worked. Corey doesnt get credit when it works. However the kolnik, moran, mosey line was a big part in our up turn at the end of that season. I really hope corey gives set lines a proper go next season. It often works! CN has put some fantastic units together but he can't help but tinker again. That nullifies the good work as it has cost us so often. Often in clutch situations.

Wow! So now Corey can really go to town mixing lines and pairings mid game just as the chemistry builds!!
The team looks pretty good to me but the coaching will always be the old stale CN brand.

Any more signing news on it's way iginla? I can answer that. At some point between now and the start of the season there will be signing news. That's also when you can expect the first injury news!!

So can the scouting network not include former players? It only appears to be former players. That's the problem.

Corey has been in this job for years now. Long enough to develop his own scouring network in the same way other EIHL coaches has. It's a failing.

So not only is CN a poor coach with no drive he's now contracted out recruitment to Ling. Maybe we should just hire Ling as player coach.

Can't disagree with you there Iggy, after the 1st July they will all appear. Players waiting for AHL deals will know after the 1st July. Historically which players that have gone on to be impact players have been signed after July 1st previous seasons?

Nice to see Mr Black doing 3 sessions with Panther fans within a few months. Pity as of February of this year, it's 5 years & counting since he done one with the Clan! Jeez, somebodies a little salty. I guess he is concerned by discord among the nottingham fan base.

NB won't like it if Corey is signing players with history of injury.. NB couldn't give a Monkeys. Seasons ticket sales are in the record numbers so that's this season sorted.

I really hope CN's recruitment game is strong enough to take the alladin cup! If we take that prestigious trophy we can relax for the rest of the season!
