What a way to finish off the season... last Lions game of the season this Sunday, and the Pride are hosting the totally unbeaten Solihull Barons. I'm not sure how many weeks ago they qualified for promotion, but the Barons have been sitting pretty (well, somewhat ugly actually! ) at the top of the table for some time now. Bit of a bad draw to finish up the season? Perhaps... but also perhaps not. The Lions would love to be the only team to even take a point off the Barons - unlikely, if we're brutally honest... but you never know. The Barons might decide to take it easy now it's all done and dusted - again possibly unlikely, they are going to want to keep their perfect record... but you never know. Oh yes - and these two teams don't like each other. Not one bit - there's more than a little bad blood between the two clubs. More so than the Lions and Sheffield Senators, and that ended up in a bench clearance last Sunday! Given that this will be the last chance to get a bit of payback or whatever for at least a year, there's always the chance that this one could kick off big-style. Or not. You never know... Sunday 29th, 7:30pm, Olympic Rink. Details <here>Technically They qualified for promotion over a season ago but would rather sit in a league where they totally outmatch their opponents rather than play in a league that offers resistance so rejected the promotion.

Maybe now he will realise terms like 'fag' are as outdated as his haircut. Vile little man. Did such a great thing with the walk and quickly lost all the credibility he gained.

I am trying to book tickets online. I have found two seat and when I go to the checkout, it says "you cannot a leave a single seat" and it won't let me proceed to pay. I have tried various permutations, but I can buy all three tickets in the row which I don't want. Anyone got any ideas how to get round this, without queuing tonight and possible miss out on the seats I want. Thanks I always had you down as a season ticket kinda guy dude!

Some are treating Robinson like Belfast fans are treating Higgins. Flipping juvenile. A good player signs elsewhere and all of sudden some never rated him anyway! I rated him. I'd love him to be a summer signing. But I'm over the moon he hasn't inspired Belfast this weekend. That's normal right? Those are my feelings too bud.

He said we don't know what goes on behind the scenes. Makes you wonder how the Panthers work really, maybe it's not just the fans they can be quite cold towards.

Why do opposing fans go onto a rival teams forum and get their knickers in a twist when they find a bias against other teams?
This isn't a neutral forum.

Why do we need two import N/M ? Why not? When we have a full skater roster we only dress one. I don't see why we shouldn't have two, both goalies know their place in the system and Kowalski is in the twilight of his career and I dare say enjoying the lighter schedule with a baby on the way.

The timing does seem odd. Maybe they didn't want a certain league mega mouth breaking the news for them.
I'm guessing he's struggled to fit in elsewhere as it can be a tough gig for a player but he's already proved he can play with these guys.
Awesome signing and relieves some of the pressure that's built over injuries.

Good signing but why so late? Has it been forced due to Higgins' injury and the concern about ticket sales if we slipped down the league? We seemed to be holding out for Robinson and carrying an extra import for months now, I think now Robinson isn't coming we were able to make this move. I dare say we were courting Doucet for a while whilst watching the Robinson situation. The Higgins injury may of drew the line in the sand but I have a hunch we would of had Robinson or Doucet at some point either way so long as we were in the title race.

Go with the hot hand. We have the luxury of choice. If I didn't have to choose it would be Modig because of K-walls health and I believe he is in the twilight of his career. Modig has everything to play for and a reason to shine.

Pity the video or the press release doesn't state how they've come to the decision about Edinburgh playing short though. I guess it's to discourage teams signing players who are known liabilities.

Grimaldi was rattled by the crowd, his own team mates laughing at the abuse he was getting must have agitated him and then he just went loopy. His team mates reaction say to me they were not to fond of him. It's only speculation but I get the impression that his time may of been short anyway.

It would be easier to just start a new team wouldn't it? I've been to Telford and it's a nice rink, fun fanbase at both EPL and ENL level and providing a good standard of hockey.
I can't see there being no hockey in Telford and the fan base will fight to keep their name.

I miss the Newcastle Vipers of old, derick Campbell and brag voth. t'was a great few seasons of agitators when they were around.
Ryan Shmyr doing chicken wings at Payette in the box is one of my favourite moments at the NIC.

I liked an Iginla post.....forever unclean!
Farmer was very vocal of his distaste for Grimaldi so he might have a go. To be honest no one seems to hate Grimaldi more than DS the BS!

Aye, I had hope. Looking at elite prospects he still hasn't found a team so fingers crossed... It would be a start but this team needs bigger changes than just adding in Robinson, just 31 days until we are locked in with this team. We are locked in, if anything was going to happen it would of happened all ready.

Lawrence looks seriously unfit. He get's to mid period and can barely keep up. He has the shot but the fitness is appalling.
