And indeed, Matsos seems to have confirmed on the radio that Curtis Cruickshank will be in goal for the Steelers next week...

Best wishes to Kev. With Cruikshank, Mastos will get someone who will play out of his skin or be a complete dog. Which Cruickshank will turn up HL

Awww... I genuinely wish the Steelers all the best and hope things start getting better for them soon 'Tis no fun trying to hate them when they're not putting up much of a fight in the league at the moment ;D

depends on what sort of hernia you have, I'm suffering with a sportman's hernia and have been advised to have nine months of rehab after the operation.

News gets worse for sheffield? They've just gone and won a trophy. Crap competition or not. It's still in their trophy cabinet.

Sack Reiter when he is out injured then? Nice move if they do.
No starting netminder is coming on a short term contract.

Least they've something to take down Cash Convertors now a upkeep of that big tin shed must be biting with so few fans. Not sure how much they'll get for the cup, though I hear Walt Disney is on the lookout for something to go with his Minnie Mouse Cup.

this is so funny. everyone on here would be bragging like anything (here and on steeltalk) had we won the 20/20 "minnie mouse" cup. it reeks of jealousy in here.

Not when we are admitting that they at least won the damn competition, which is to be admired. In their position at the moment it did not seem possible.Hense beware of anything this season again from Sheffield, don't count them out at all.

Least they've something to take down Cash Convertors now a upkeep of that big tin shed must be biting with so few fans.. well if the details in the star are anything to go by ( see other thread about that ) simms really must be worried as he has asked for the games to be played as 2 x 20 min periods as it will cut down on ice rental times. and the shorter games testerday attracted more fans. man they really must be struggling. i know lets change the whole league to help one seemingly struggling team. didnt see them doing too much to help the bison or phoenix last season. in fact if aremember it was simms who try'd kciking them when there were down. lets hope the league throws this stupid idea out instantly. rant over .
