Spence it will be a cold day in hell before you get a positive comment from milkman regarding anything to do with Panthers. As his avatar suggests 'Always Delivers'......NEGATIVITY Give me something positive to post about. I like a little more, sorry expect a little more than the mediocrity that has become the richest club in the lands hallmark.

And perhaps one day you will venture inside the NIC, watch a game and then, and only then, can you comment on the quality of the play on the ice. As it stands u don't like the fact we finished joint second, neither do i! But you have no way to gauge if we played better or worse than previous seasons because u weren't there. And, as such have no idea how good or bad Bergin played.

I doubt anyone will find someone of a better quality than Kev who performs the same role as him and is as important to the team as him for the same money. Aside from that, there cannot be anyone who doesn't love seeing the passion Kev displays whenever he scores and jumps at the plexi.

are you allergic to positive comments? Not at all, as I said good filler material, I might have held out a little longer there MUST be plenty of players out there looking for European challenge with better stats Milkman, You yourself have stated in the past that stats mean bob-all. Stats are only relevant when viewed in context (to the league they're in, the team they're in, their line mates etc). Bergin brings alot more than his stats indicate, which incidentally are pretty good anyway. I for one know what I'm getting with KB and am pretty happy with that. Over the last 9 years I've seen the 'wunderkinds' come and go, their stats promising the world only to be let down when they don't deliver (can't adapt to the Euro style,.... homesick... etc etc). Better the devil you know IMO

Better the devil you know IMO I would say that in the past 9 years we had a mere handful of 'wunderkids' who failed to perform, perhaps you can help me out, I'm lost for the ones who couldn't fit in to the euro style, or have become homesick. Panthers have not played euro style, always favouring the N American game since Blazers days, in fact we were notorious for it.

Milkman, no, watching every game home and away 'on tape', doesn't give you a good enough idea how the team, or a particular player performs. Given the lack of quality of such tapes, and not being able to see the whole of the ice. Also I doubt you would go to the trouble and expense, of obtaining said tapes, for someone who only seems to deride the team and not to support in any way. As regards giving you something positive to post. I really doubt, even if we did claim that elusive 'League Title' that you would be able to bring yourself to even post a token 'well done' to the Panthers and the management team. I only hope that you get the chance to prove me wrong.

I sub contract for sky, the games are all available on their servers, after each game all clubs submit their tapes, dvd's etc to SKY for the TV show. It seems to do the TV pundits in other sports well Your ok attacking me, why not attack the team that can't deliver on the ice, how many games have you seen this season?

Welcome back Kevin, very pleased. I have been told that Clarkie is on a 2 year contract anyway! No hes not - Panthers are unable to offer 2 year contracts as the rental deal with the NIC doesnt permit it for some reason. HL As far as i knew as well, he's on a 2 year contract...we've signed people on two year contracts before?!

As far as i knew as well, he's on a 2 year contract...we've signed people on two year contracts before?! Depends on how you define a 2 year contract. If you are talking about water tight 2 year deals, nobody in British ice hockey can offer them. If you are talking about 1 year contracts with options for a 2nd year, Clarkey signed one last season and I've no doubt he'll be back next season. It will however be announced as the "biggest signing of the summer" and the player everyone else wanted ;D

why bother you never go to games So me not going makes the Panthers not win trophies Clutching at straws I think there? not at all you said you want something to cheer on the ice... you never see the on ice product anymore so why specifically give you something to cheer about? panthers didnt win a trophy this year as the other teams were better thats obvious but we have picked up 2 trophies in more recent seasons so its not all doom and gloom.

As I have stated I see all the games, unfortunately I work weekeds and look after my kids during the week so Panthers is out for me at the moment, unless they start paying media to attend, then who knows? Again, I am very lucky to see all the games through contacts in the media word, for which I am grateful. If you read this tread, I am a big advocate for those trophies won, however others have belittled the recent achievements, and have clearly stated they do not care for those trophies, and want the league more. Winning is everything for me, I am not in it for the participating, or the love of the game, I want to win EVERYTHING, now if IMHO the Panthers are going about that in the wrong way (again IMO) then surely I have the right to question that. You agree?

You agree? of course however you approach most with such apparent negativity it gets boring. and i understand there is an element of realism however there is a fine line between realism and negativity. if you saw bergin week in week out then you may aprreciate why people are positive about the signing i mean lets face it he is only our 3rd returnee so as you put it there may be other better players available but bergin fills a crucial role.

As long as we don't get sold short and he suddenly becomes a top liner.

i dont think we will be sold short, he is a player who's talent is second line at best for panthers, corey knows it i think he knows it, i dont think anyone is going on that he is a top liner, he fills a valuable role in the team however and i dont thinkt hat can be argued against.

I have seen all of the home games incuding the play offs and travelled to all three Edinburgh games, all payed for by my hard earned cash. I choose not to attack the team, as I SUPPORT them, and have done so since their reformation, however frustrating this may have been. As regards the hunting in packs, its hardly suprising as the greater majority who post on here are also supportive of the team. And not cynics who like to appear cool by being overly critical, all of the time which does become boring.

Hang on a minute people. You need to take a good look at yourselves for attacking Milkman here. He explains his opinion and everyone goes after him. It's really sad and pathetic.

Point per game from a 2nd liner who can handle himself, what more do you want? same old dross coming from certain posters.
