We had replicas of the 1989 Heineken Championship winning team's jerseys auctioned off for charity a couple of months back. And we've just auctioned off a set of game worn yellow jersey's for the Nottingham Hospice. I'm talking of this weekends charideeeee drive which seems fairly league wide...

Not so much a charity drive as a revenue drive if you have a quick scout through the clubs, pretty sure that the revenue from shuff shirts will never get anywhere near any charity. Panthers don't, as I recall, get involved in this 'one off' shirt business. A fair amount of cash was raised in a charity event earlier this week and Panthers auction off game worn shirts throughout the season alongside various other charity events. I'd prefer them to do this and preserve the unique-ness (if there is such a term) of the actual game worn official jerseys rather than muddy the water auctioning off several different kits a year where a 'game worn' then becomes more common than an empty seat in the tin shed.

Until it's mathematically impossible for us to win the league I want to take all points available and that means 100%. If nothing else, taking 2 points on Saturday might weaken the Steelers resolve somewhat and sow the seeds of doubt that they are not all conquering and not yet guaranteed of winning the league. I get the impression the players haven't quit yet and started cruising so why should we fans?? Finally, I'd much prefer to finish 2nd then 4th in terms of Playoff position. oh dont get me wrong, i want the team to do well and win, and while i do still think there is a chance of winning, it is a very slim chance. i certainly havent given up hope on the team, like you suggest, but lets look at the last few games at home. all wins (i think) all absolutley dire games with very little urgency. while your comment and thought means that you want 100%, i feel you are misguided if you think you are going to get it. I think most people fail to see the difference between posting what they WANT to see and posting a predicition. Theres otimism and realism if I am optimistic my prediction is.... 'I think we will pull together and go on to win thisthorwing steelers off' (thats based on what i WANT to see) Realistically? 'I think we we are capable of holding them to a close game as long as everyone turns up. Missing Meyers means we are a man down on an already short D. I honestly cant see us winning this, Matsos and the Steelers have proved more than once they just want it more than we do with a stronger squad'

(Could be wrong though) Coventry have a Valentine's Day jersey. I applaud the reasoning for the jerseys, ie cancer research, but they are truely dire, but each to their own. As for the game at hand, Steelers to win in OT

Glad that you are keeping up with our finances and good works...Always nice to have folks on the inside at other clubs to keep us all informed. As for uniquness of game worns...well each to their own if a game worn is summat that floats yer boat so much. Its a hockey shirt when it boils down to it..not the crown jewels..

Wish I could go, but then again if I did I would Jonah it, and we would get a right drubbing. And like the puppies at the head of this post, we would get our noses rubbed in it. Lack of funds prevails though , so I will not be there. so going on that...... Panthers to win in reg time 4-2, after they pull Jody for the extra man. Goal to be scored by Michel Robinson, after he flicks away the puck from an half hearted attack . Following the goal, Tin Shack empties in record time, with only the Panther fans left behind cheering ;D. If your gonna dream, make it a good one. ;D ;D

Are the Panthers doing summat similar for charideeeee? Out of interest like....? Why, would you be getting your mate to ask for a free one? Or wouldn't that be in the spirit of the game. BTW just to keep this on topic. I'm going for a home win.

I'm not going either. But wouldn't it be nice to inflict their 4th regulation defeat. That says it all though 3 regulation losses from 43 games. I really hate it, hate it, hate it but that is a team that deserves to win the league. Totally agree, thats some acheivement, and well done to them. obviously i want to take all thepoints from our remaining games against them, but to be honest i think saturdays result will depend how hard a game we have had against Belfast tonight. just going to predict 1 goal separating the teams on saturday

I live with the continued hope of us going there, stuffing them and, albeit briefly, shutting Simms up. So I'll be there, ready for my triannual (if that was a word) Brummy induced headache, because you never know. ditto just hoping those shirts are a preview of the blood draining from Simmsy's face as we beat them 4-1
