Got told on good authority he was in attendance There's no chance that he'd be there even if we were in contact with him. That would be seriously undermining Calderwood.

I left with 10 mins to go. If Doughty doesn't sack him soon then he can look forward to crowds of 14,000 next season.
Soon Sam will be turning the job down as it'll be too late.

mate it's already been sorted out I am 99% certain that it hasn't. It just isn't Doughtys way to do it like that. How was he at the game then at another 90 miles away an hour later?

Its not going to happen in the near future thats for sure. Calderwood is off in China with Mark Arthur on a five day trip to sort out next seasons pre-season tour. Other managers are looking at their squads and trying to strengthen them, and any manager who is bottom of a division that deserts his underperforming team for a week needs his head read.
Another month at least before any action might be taken, and that would be with continually bad results.
Doughty did not want to get rid of Megson and Kinnear, so the same will pretty much apply to Calderwood.

By the time CC is sacked no-one will want the job as it'll be too late.
At least LEIC and Leeds are showing L1 to be the division it is. Maybe Forest can bounce back up next season with those two back in the Championship. Doubt it.

Megson was sacked because we were close to the drop zone. Not sure where we were after 10 games.

I think Calderwood, should leave one win in ten isn't good enough.
As for Big Sam, are you lot for real? His NOT a good manager. It's a proven fact.
He looked clueless at Newcastle, at Bolton walked out after guiding them to there highest league postion, why did he leave? feared a 'backlash' season.
He plays bland football which isn't appealing, if you took Kevin Nolan out of Boltons team under Big Sam, they wouldn't have achieved as much as they did. Also as a football manager its upto the clubs manger to bring through good young players apart from Nolan who eles did Big Sam bring through?

Got to disagree Nab.
Allardyce was barely at Newcastle, and this is a club that was going nowhere. This was (as you said, but ignored) after guiding Bolton to their highest ever league position. Sure, Nolan had a good season that year, but you take Ronaldo out of Man Utds team last year and they would have been a shadow of the side they were. Is that a slight against Ferguson? Same applies to any team and their best player, the point is null and void.
Finally, it's a managers job to play players who are good enough, not to bring players through from the academy.

Kilner he did leave because he was approached by Newcastle and bolton rejected the approach so Sam walked before the end of that season breaking his contract, as he showed such a lack of loyalty to the club and the fans at Bolton to my mind he got what he deserved at Newcastle in a what goes around comes around scenario. The time he walked as well the link between him and his son's agency and some weird Bolton signings was also to the forefront, may have had a bearing.
On the other hand though he took Bolton to heights that i feel Megson will never manage, so big sam is an adequate manager and may be good for the forest team although not too sure about the forest bank balance though!

Big sam did the same thing to Notts to take the Bolton job aswell. All those Bolton fans crying foul (Club officials included) have selective memories and deserve no sympathy whatsoever.

If we get a result against Derby, Calderwood will be here till Christmas, however if we lose against Derby I think Colin will find himself out of a job.
Saying that Calderwood has a good mangerial history, this is Calderwood 6th season as a manager (Northampton & Nott'm Forest) In three seasons with Northampton two apperences in the playoffs and one promotion, wih Nott'm Forest one playoff apperence and one promotion.
