I don't want us to keep him or sack him yet. Give him until October 25th, then we decide.

Didn't think it would be long.
I remember last season (with about 10 games remaining) talking to a friend of mine and he said CC should have been fired then.
Look on the bright side, Newcastle think Joe Kinnear is the new messiah......................... OUCH

Don't want to slate Calderwood too much because he did get Forest up but his tactics do leave a lot to be desired.
Is it him, the players or most likely, a bit of both.

I'd have Sam in a heart beat. I bumped into him in London in May...he was staying at the same hotel. TOP bloke.

Undecided on Big Sam to be honest. Would rather have Psycho back at Forest but I doubt that will ever happen with his England commitments

Given the whole re-structuring going on with the national team and his involvement with Fabio and the first XI I can see Capello building a team for the World Cup, doing reasonably well, semi-finals, and Pearce being groomed for the role to take his kids to the Euro 2012. Big Sam would be a good appointment but an unlikely one. I'm not sure who would take the Forest job to be honest. Ideally a recently retired pro with alot to prove, like Ince at Macclesfield (now Blackburn), Hughes with Wales, Keane with Sunderland etc. It might seem underwhelming but if Forest get back to the top flight, I can see Keane in charge at the City Ground.

Realisticly you are dreaming with all those names, Forest came up to a higher division the man that got them up was the same guy you lot wanted to sack this time last season deja vu! There again we all know the revolving managers door worked everytime as Leeds, Newcastle, can illustrate to everyone! If you got rid though you need to aim your sights a little lower to maybe a Ian Holloway, sort of calibre of management none of the above would come to Forest unless there was Millions in the kitty, you have not got millions, you need a effective guy who can work on a low budget, maybe Brian Little he has just parted company with Wrexham or of course try again to entice Clough junior away from Burton!

Oh i do enjoy it when you talk about something you clearly have no comprehension of. Tell me, which team has spent the most money in the entire league this season? Oh, and Brian Little? ;D ;D ;D Nice one.

I'd want us to sign a proven coach - not some wannabe.

martinski i am not a forest fan as well so looking at it as a neutral, cannot see at this moment any proven prem manager at forest, or as you say psycho he clearly has his feet under the table with the FA.
Upshall yes it was a bit tongue in cheek with Brian Little but if you forget Leicester Ian Holloway is a good shout IMHO.
As for the money i meant someone like Sam/Psycho or Roy would want a 15 to 20 million budget from the off i reckon, so how are Forests Finances these days serious question Upshall because i only go from what i read in the Evening Post with the local football!

£15-20m a year? Jesus, they wouldn't get that from the vast majority of premiership sides! Nor would they ask for it.
Forests finances at the moment are solid. The only money we owe is to our multi-millionaire benefactor who will be at the club for a substantial amount of time yet. We're fine.
For the record, Pearce would be a disaster.

ok if not psycho who would be your realistic choice?
get this on our forum sack rafa but they have no viable alternatives!
how about Clough junior or someone like the Bristol city manager he has them playing well on a small budget, you have good players in my view so you might need a good motivator maybe not sure of his situation but does cole have any coaching duties at Forest, because with the managers he has worked with must have picked up some good ideas i would think!
See joking aside as i live and work in the area i would like a strong forest team at least for our students who support them.
re the 15-20 check how much teams like fulham and boro spend most seasons just as a rough figure any new manager will want his own men sooner rather than later. Big sam was always an astute wheeler/dealer as well.
Glad you realised this isnt a wind up as well upshall, i am seriously interested in Forest having a good season !

I'm not saying we should sack him yet, but we could afford Curbishley if he wanted to come.

not a bad call upshall but he is a london based guy, if you could get him that would be a bonus, badly treated at the hammers in my view!

I've never liked him, but I think he'd be a great replacement. Not in favour of chopping and changing managers and Forest have done that all too often since 1993, but something has to give...

Yeah I agree Sparta, here we are again calling for a managers head. But it's got to happen, Calderwood's tactics and motivation just aren't good enough. I'd love to see Allardyce, but I still don't see it happening.

It's got to happen soon. Calderwood is out of his depth, clue-less, & seemingly devoid of any tatics. With the supposed fire power have - Tyson, Cole etc..we should be scoring goals a plenty..but we aint.
