You know to be honest I'm sick of people running England down every chance they get.

Yes it irritates me that we choke every 4 years since 95. Yes it is damn annoying that thanks to the odd forward pass we were robbed of a semi final last year. But, we have the most entertaining team in the world. We play fast, expansive, exciting - and winning - rugby. At the moment, we have the best team in the world. Despite the exodus - could any other team in the world cope with losing the players we lost last year? no. They would moan, groan, and play dull, forward dominated rugby. Or kicking dominted rugby. Or worse, both. Honestly, given the choice of the last decade of English rugby (1 world cup, one final) or NZ rugby (0 cup, 0 final), I know which I would choose. And its the southern hemisphere all the way.
And yes, I'm still a damn sore loser from Cardiff last year :-(

Seems the All Blacks weren't to pleased with Wales' reaction to the Haka, not according to the BBC.

was at the All Black/Wales game on saturday and being an All Blacks fan couldnt wait to see the haka performed live...sadly it was ruined... not by the Welsh team...who i thought showed respect without backing down brilliant response..but by the Welsh fans around us who showed such disrespect that me and my friend couldnt hear it at all...

Surely not? It's the English who are disrespectful, not our Celtic neighbours. What fun!

Banging on about England disrespecting the Haka then as soon as someone witnesses the Welsh doing exactly the same thing you move onto the English booing New Zealand's national anthem. Like I said I'm sick of people dragging England through the mud, it's as if the only way to validate your own country is to decry another.

The problem is that the Kiwis get all precious whatever you do.
You ignore it and carry on warming up( Aus & Italy) - showing a lack of respect You front up to them (England & Irleand) - showing a lack of respect You wear T-shirts in the colours of your national flag (France) - showing a lack of respect The crowd boo and/or cheer - showing a lack of respect
They expect a team to stand there and meekly watch them. Why should they?
I'd love it if Riki Flutey & Dylan Hartley took a leaf out of Munsters book and did their own Haka on Saturday.

Thats strange...I was on the tier above you & heard it fine. Me? I love England, & am proud & happy to live here. I am just a tad more proud of my Welsh roots, & heritage. Hate is just a horrible & nasty word. There is no reason for either team/country to hate each other in my opinion.

One thing that dissapointed me last Saturday, was the way the AB's carried on playing (& scored a try) when Wales had a man down injured for several minutes. Total lack of class.

Disagree with you on this one Tony. You play to the whistle, which BOTH teams did. If the ref deems it bad enough, he will stop play. f you need to blame someone, it should be the ref in this case.

I agree to a degree. The ref was bang out of order, & should have stopped play. However, there was nothing to stop NZ kicking the ball into touch. Our guy was having treatment on the pitch at the time, whilst play was litterally going on around him. A Kiwi actually had to run around our guy, & the physio giving treatment to score!

at one point i thought the physio was going to be trampled on , he certainly flinched a bit! Got to say i thought the ref would have stopped it but he didnt! They still outplayed us in the second half anyway!
Mark no offence but you do seem a little precious yourself, who actually had a go at the English other than doughnuts joke?

I see where you're coming from, but Rugby is very different to football and I still think you're wrong. There are numerous times in pretty much every game of Rugby where a player is receiving treatment whilst play goes on...that's because it's allowed, rather than football where play is stopped for virtually any reason. Teams know this, and play accordingly. I've spoken to several players and 2 refs at a Rugby club about this and they all said the same...play will only stop if the injury is deemed to be a serious one. Perhaps more telling is that Gatland was asked about it and said he had no problem with what happened.
