We've signed a new forward. He was in the top 10 scorers in the ECHL last season. Probably not too hard to work out who he is but I promised the boss I wouldn't say who his name was.

Quality, if we ve signed someone amongst the top 10 point scorers in that league, he should be able to crack this league ;D

for those who cannot be bothered to trol lthrough all the stats etc,im sad enough to have done that of the top 10 ECHL forwards for 07-08 season here we go... 1.[glow=red,2,300]David Desharnais[/glow] : www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=732542.[glow=red,2,300]Jeff Campbell[/glow] : www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=556033.[glow=red,2,300]Travis Morin[/glow] : www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=675914. [glow=red,2,300]Ash Goldie[/glow] : www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=631855. [glow=red,2,300]Benoit Douchet[/glow] : www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid%5B%5D=733356. [glow=red,2,300]John McNabb[/glow] : www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=291967. [glow=red,2,300]Josh Soares[/glow] : www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=777228. [glow=red,2,300]Pierre-Luc Faubert[/glow] : www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=732289. [glow=red,2,300]Jeff Miles[/glow] : www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=5486710. [glow=red,2,300]Derek Damon[/glow] : www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php3?pid=72060Edit : i can't really see any connections here? unless im misisng something huge... ash goldie played with sean mcaslan at long beach in 05/06. im not saying that there will be connections but corey/matty myers let a few clues slip that corey would be using more of his connections and bringing in players well known to him e.g. cook.
Ash Goldie would be quite a useful addition though...

I didn't want to cause a wild goose chase, there isn't any connection with Corey like playing with him although he's played against him a few times. Most people seem on the right line anyway ...

On the basis of that statement John, it points to either: [glow=yellow,2,300]Jeff Campbell[/glow] [glow=yellow,2,300]John McNabb [/glow]or [glow=yellow,2,300]Jeff Miles[/glow] Getting any closer?

not sure if i am getting confused or you so i revisited the stats provided on both DD's
number 10 on the list born 1980
number 1 on the list born 1986 that one i would have before number 10 that was my point

Desharnais is a definate no go. He's NHL quality and many clubs have already apparently been sniffing around him throughout the year.
Campbell looks easy pickings for an NHL fourth line or for somewhere like Austria or Switzerland.
Morin would fit Neilson's bill perfectly with size and goals.
Douchet would again be NHL worthy after maybe another few years. I'm sure he'll stay in America for a shot at the NHL.
McNabb would be a great signing and very very possible.
Soares again would be a big possiblity
Faubert would stay in America looking at his age.
Miles would be a good signing and probably the most believable of the lot.
Damon would be another possibility that would add youth and intensity. Note that he played for Neilsons old club- easy contact for Corey!
