still no comments from the usual suspects in this thread? typical. Considering it was jovial & banter, did you expect anything of substance?

I was going to come on and sarcastically congratulate them on their first win this decade, but i couldn't be bothered. Drop the attitude all the time Buster.

Forest are expected to struggle this season as a newly promoted team to the Championship. Derby on the other hand, much much more expected of them...

They still broke the record! Forest are currently on track to break a record of their own this year. Least points scored in the Football League Championship, currently stands at 29 as set by Rotherham United in 2004-2005. At this rate Forest are set to smash that one

Troll! It's called banter, and if you really need it explaining to you, then I'm honestly amazed.

Well Derby's record as the worst Premiership team remains intact for the time being as West Brom move on to 12 points, and its only just December!
As for Forest, they are charging toward that Rotherham total now.......

got a money spinning two ties against man unt though, guess who laughs last etc! You're assuming Man U can shift the tickets. They had 22000 empty seats against Blackburn and that wasn't on tv. With Derby allegedly in deep debt I'm not sure being battered by Man U is what they need. They could easily be sucked in to the relegation fight. That parachute money is far more important than the Carling Cup cash.

The OT game will still be money spinning if it's 50,000 attendance Sunbeam.
Not sure what you mean by your second paragraph either? Surely if they're in deep debt, having two legs against the biggest team in the world is a good thing? Surely the result is inconsequential? A thrashing against Man Utd is hardly going to shake them to the core.

Will Derby get a % of the OT gate? Will the tie have an effect on the league form? Is it already? Will two extra games hinder their league form?
Could these games ruin their chances of going up? Or even help send them down?
Derby need to go up this season or next. If they stay down this season they'll cut costs in the summer. This cup run could easily be a bad thing for Derby.
The same applies to Burnley though to a far lesser extent.

I'm pretty sure receipts for both games are split down the middle. I know that's the case for the FA Cup. Derbys form has dropped in the league, but their form has fluctuated all season.
Derby have pretty much no chance of going up anyway. Barring a minor miracle find or two in January, they're simply not good enough.

I don't think it is the case in the League Cup. Especially in the two-legged semi-final. Could be wrong. Even in the FA cup sponsored by E-on the home team gets a slightly larger share.
