The appeal process started before we had our run of 5 wins in a row.

The appeal process started before we had our run of 5 wins in a row. Had United finished as Champions, as I expected even with a 15 point deduction to start, would they have appealed? Get rid of Bates the man is a thief and a pathological liar

Signed a contract agreeing to the 15 point deduction before the season started. Good decision by the panel

cannot see why you would bring hicks into this only connection is he appears to be as big a wideboy as bates. The difference is should Hicks sell up( please god soon) then there would be a line of buyers waiting to take over his position, because the club is run well and only spends what they can afford
OK back to the point bates bent the rules got caught accepted the judgement and now cries foul, me thinks a bit late really! I hope you get Forest and for once i will support the forest!

peacock straying from the point, but as i said hicks like bates is a wideboy, and the debt you speak of was shoved on the club by those yank chancers, and please god when the DIC buy them out that will be wiped out as well, also will never be in Leeds position anytime soon, they spent loads went for the big gamble and lost, we have the CL money coming in every year plus a far bigger worldwide support buying our shirts!
None of this is the same as Bates wanting to be devious and shaft the league by manipulating a percieved loophole and crying foul when he didnt get away with it, all of this is a shame for the fans but their anger should be aimed at Bates rather than the league tribunial!

Only thing is now the Yorkshire Evening Post and Look North have convinced the simple northern folk that he can make it rain. They see no wrong in him.

Only thing is now the Yorkshire Evening Post and Look North have convinced the simple northern folk that he can make it rain. They see no wrong in him. Could it not just be that as a journo/being around journo's that you are nor prejudice against him nomatter what he does and that you cannot see any good him him or what he's done wha tso ever? As for the Liverpool/Leeds Comparisons. Leeds got into champions league 3 years in a row. Granted we didnt win but we did get into the semi's at one stage. Then we missed one season finishing oh thats right 4th just outside the places. You know that spot you now cling on to the spot that would never of been given to the premier league had Leeds not got where we did. (Uefa gave it to us as Leeds had progressed to that semi where every other English club had failed that season). Anyway back on subject as you like to say alot oldman. We spent big. but we actually spent what was coming in. Such as 30mill for getting intot eh champions league, then there was all the premier league money for where we finished in the top 3/4/5 etc. Then there was the big shirt/sponsor deals with companies that brought in revenue. we had 35k+ crowds each week. These are all the same as Liverpool. We actually did have the money coming in. The only difference was we missed out on a champions league spot by finishing 4th, which meant we only got into Uefa cup, which we didnt make past the first round, thus we had no european income, we had players begin to bail on us. Eventually we ended up finishing near bottom, then next season down. The rest is as they say History. My point here is simple. It could happen to Liverpool. The only difference here is if hicks does run and DIC do come in, they will soak up the debt. But shock horror if Hicks felt like messing you over for all the agro you fans have caused him, then he might just let you die. Here's hoping seen as you want more to happen to Leeds, i now wish that to happen to you Liverpool.

love the way you rewrite history, first if you had spent what you could afford you would not have needed the end of season cut price sales you did prior to your relegation, you have never had the worldwide support than man united and liverpool have had for decades, as for position and qualifying do you know we qualified when fifth once, but that was because we were defending cup winners.
I actually have no axe to grind with leeds revie and shanks were great mates, my beef is with your charmless con artist who tried the three card trick with the league and lost, to my mind he accepted the fifteen points at the start of the season because he was worried that the other option was relegation or thrown out of the league.
The ruling he abused was brought in to help clubs in administration to attract new owners and start with a clean slate, but Bates took them into administration shafted all the people he owed money to and then a new company came in to take over owned by the same Ken Bates, does that not leave a bad taste in the mouth of people out of pocket and the league management that he took for fools or not do you think?
It is a shame you try and get personal with this debate i said i have nothing against the fans but they should be asking why delboy runs their club in this underhand way!

Nope its what he has done to my club, he has ripped the heart of Leeds and to a certain extent the City that has been home to my family for 10 generations. Ridsdale/O'leary were stupid dreamers, but great times, I saw Leeds beat Milan in the San Siro, thats not going to happen again anytime soon. Bates though is a calculating asset stripper, another Black if you like.

I'm glad Leeds didn't get their points back. It would've made a mockery of the league if they had them recinded.
I feel sorry for Leeds and hope they go up through the Playoffs though. But the very fact that they have Ken Bates in charge leaves me wondering how long it'll take them to get back where they belong.

Given time Hicks will be fantastic for Liverpool. The new stadium is what they need and Hicks will get it done. To compare Liverpool to Leeds is ludicrous. Leeds should walk the Play Offs. The others have fallen apart. If Leeds don't go up they will find next season far worse than this. A soul destroying league. Enjoy it Leicester!

Pressure goes a long way in the play-offs, and Leeds will have oodles of it. They're lucky they're playing a devastated Carlisle side.

I hear Leeds have put in an appeal, because they did not score in the last minutes of the game or time added on. ;D LUFC, next season you will start with the same points as everyone else. cockerel up, you don't spell ADMINISTRATION like that. If Gary Mc can keep the same players next season, you should walk it. To say what your team did with the 15 point deficit, they deserved to go up, but it's also nice that the third placed team joined the other two teams promoted to the Championship.

Do calm down LUFC, what more did you expect? After all the crap we Forest fans have had to put up with for being down there we'll dish it back. I don't like Leeds and I don't like Ken Bates, I'm not going to apologise for being glad they lost!

I also do not particularly like Leeds and am really glad they didn't make it. Mainly because Donny have played the best football of any L1 team including Forest, but also as I see them being a very strong side with McAllister in charge. I don't see much competeion for them next season.
