I think we'd all enjoy it if only you'd pass the puck!

For what it's worth, Pleat has been given the chop.

Mark Arthur should be dumped pronto but who else? The club are in a total mess and as usual little information filters down to the fans.
Big changes needed to turn this season around, changes I doubt will happen.

performance coach Bill Beswick has been fired, apparently there was a player revolt regarding some of his decisions

Hope he's took that millstone Marthur with him.
Not sure about McClaren, he made three duff signings in Reid, Boateng and Greening but did he get suckered by the board as regards their intentions?

Yessss, to be honest I thought you were winding us all up - but I've just checked the Forest website. So McLaren will be back off to Holland - Forest should eat humble pie and bring Billy Davies back.

Doughty retains his financial stake in the club but steps down as chairman at the end of the season.
Can't see managers lining up to take over at Forest.

I disagree as I think Forest are still held in high esteem. Hopefully Marthur gets the chop soon too.

Forest should eat humble pie and bring Billy Davies back. If you were Billy Davies would you come back knowing the club and all it's apparent failings? He's better off out of it all.

I disagree as I think Forest are still held in high esteem. Hopefully Marthur gets the chop soon too. I disagree. Forest are tainted goods, with every new manager being measured against Clough and trophies he helped win along time ago. Until the fans accept that, like Leeds, they aren't a big team anymore and let managers manage in the now its a team that will struggle.

I think you're well off the mark; I don't think I know one single fan that believes Forest are the same league as they were under Clough and no one is of the view that the club could be propelled back to winning European cups. Forest are what they are; a well supported provincial club with a great history.

There are so many managers out of work at the moment, they will be queing up for the Forest job. Quite whether any are any good is another question.
No money available to bring in new players (If Doughty refused two premiership loan signings these last couple of days, why would he now authorise them?)
McClaren well and truly shafted. Dont think Reid and Greening were his signings either. Both had been coming since January.

I'm happy with everything that went on yesterday, SMc walking was the best thing that could happen, it meant that Doughty and Arthur were under no illusions that we're finally going to find out what goes on behind the scenes at Forest and how they lied to him and screwed up transfers and progress.
I do have one worry that Mark Arthur is still at the club and in charge of the search for a new manager, he threatened the 'vocal minority' last week on Radio Nottingham by telling them to 'be careful what you wish for' and I just have this nagging feeling the next manager will be how he proves that as he doesn't have the best interests of Nottingham Forest anywhere on his list of priorities or we wouldn't be losing £10, £11, £12 million a year or whatever number they tell us it is next.

Forest are what they are; a well supported provincial club with a great history. Spot on Optimus. But apart for the history, the Championship is full of these types of clubs. I would even say u'd probably find a handful in division one and this is why the division is ultra competitive. A few bad signings and you find yourself at the wrong end of the table contemplating a relegation fight for the rest of the season. With all the hard work of the previous two years lost in the space of a summer month. With the chairman not stepping down until the end of the season its unlikely that anything will happen in the January transfer window so im just hoping they manage to aviod relegation and start a rebuild next year............ A long season ahead i fear.

The fact that Marthur is still at the club, has been put in charge of finding yet another manager and his continual veiled threats shows what contempt those at the top hold the fans in.
I hate that pillock with a passion.

How about the young lad at MK as an outside bet? (forget his name). Looks a talented guy, would prefer someone with past links to the club though. O'Neill's name pops up every time. Brian Roy maybe?

Billy Davies..........
Bizzarely people think this rumour has substance on the basis that we are still paying him salary as he did not agree a settlement figure with Forest.

If we cant get a manager in who'd need a big budget (O'Neill, Keane etc) i'd welcome an up and coming manager like Karl Robinson who knows the lower leagues. I think McClaren could have been ok at a club that was prepared to fully back him. Mind you, anyone can see that. I wouldn't even mind Warnock. No point getting a big name if we can't support their large signings!

I think Warnock would do a great job although I don't like the guy & he wouldn't leave QPR either.
