Ryan would be high a a first pick. I'm not sure about Boston College. They have had a easy schedule. See ho they do v VTech and Clemon.
You're right that Woodson being blck is a factor. I know one of the teams above the Raiders would in reality take DM.
MIA took Beck so don't need a QB.

Easy schedule, easy schedule? ?? They've played one of the best teams in the land ;D Ryan really opened my eyes when he came in and threw for over 400 yards on my boys and you rarely throw for 200 on us. Can't say i'm going to miss the Falcs or the Thrashers this year but I will miss seeing the Yellow Jackets, that's always a fun day. By the way I may be wanting Woodson after taping the game last eve, but no doubt I'll be changing my mind again next week. That's what mock drafts in Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan are all about You're right about Beck I'd forgotten the boos and groans Cheers

Wow. Raiders blew another one. Should've won that one. Long season ahead now.
Anything happens to Tom Brady and the Pats* are screwed.

I enjoyed the Miami-NE game yesterday and thought the Dolphines played really well despite the score line being lop sided. Cassel's intercepted pass was poor though.
As for the Patriots being screwed without Brady, sure, but ManYoo would have been screwed without King Eric and so would Blackburn without Shearer.
So meh.

No football team is screwed without a player. Arsenal and Villareal have shown that this season. QB's are far more important and what Sunday showed is that NE have no decent back-up. Of course they are not alone in that but a team like the Bolts don't rely on their QB to the same extent as NE or Indy. PITTS don't look like a threat. Still looks like a 2 team NFL.

ManYoo didn't win the treble with Eric in their line up, they won it in 1998-99 and Cantona retired after the 1996-97 season. If you don't think Eric was vitally important to that team, so be it, I doubt many pundits would agree with you. Brady could get injured for sure, but I'm sure Patriots fans will worry about it if and when it occurs. Until then, I'll sit back and enjoy the ride if it's all the same.

I meant Man U didn't win the Treble with him. Of course he was important but they ended up winning more without him. The QB is far more important than any soccer player except on rare occasions (last year's Bears).
Pats fans don't worry about TFB getting injured, Like Colts fans they know there's no point worrying about their man getting injured as they know if he does they are done.
They just cross their fingers and pray his LT and line keeps him safe. And TFB had an excellent line.

Wembley is awesome. The game wasn't great and they should have closed the roof but it was still a great event.

Wembley is awesome. The game wasn't great and they should have closed the roof but it was still a great event. The roof doesn't close. Only the edges move. They can be retracted to allow light onto all the playing surface, or they can be extended to 'cover' all the seats. That doesn't really help when the rain is coming in vitually horizontal! Game wasn't the greatest, but thanks to free Tailgate Party tickets and several pints of free Coors Light courtesy of Coors hospitality I was past caring by the end of it. Great atmosphere, great crowd, great day out.

Didn't see the game as I spent the evening watching College FB. Dixon is now officially my second fave CFB QB after Tim Tebow.
Raiders disgust me. Time for JaMarcus.
Pats have every chance to go 19-0. Could end up Indy hosting Pitts and NE hosting Bolts. Of course it all could change if certain players get injured.
Adrian All Day Peterson.... Wow!!!!

The Bengals suck. Period. Marvin has lots of answers to find. Dixon is a star in the making, he should be nailed on for Heisman (he has a great surname to boot! ) Hopefully he'll end the season where he belongs, in the BCS Championship Game with Ducks as number 2. A BCS Championship game against the mighty Bucks please! ;D We have every chance of going undefeated, The Illini on Saturday in The Shoe and then the big game up north against them...which will have added intrigue for me as my girlfriend will be in town who happens to be a rabid Wolverine, that should be an interesting evening in front or NASN for us then, OSU has to win or I'll never hear the end of it and the phrase "APPALAICHAN STATE" might lose some of its power!

Andyd There is talk in Falconsland about taking Jake long (1st rd) and Chad Henne with one of our 2nd round picks. I can't think of a better person to say why that's a bad idea ;D ;D ;D I have seen a couple of "Them up North" games but I'd guess that you may have followed them a little closer than I have. Too early to say when these guys will go but if there's a chance to Michigan bash then I think that you would enjoy going for it ;D Cheers PS. Just noticed that Michigan are on NASN saturday

Defo an idea that is worth considering. There are a few QB's around and at least one of Henne, Brennan, Dixon, Flynn, Ryan, Brohm and Woodson will fall there. By getting Long you can also pay him less than you would a Brohm or McFadden.
You could always try to trade down a few spots too. The hope in the Nation is that we can trade down to Dallas (via CLE) and pick up Sam Baker and a Dman in the first. Dallas might do the trade if McFadden is there.

There aren't too many Falcons fans who want to take a QB if we TAKE a top 5 pick. The talk is McFadden, Long or Dorsey. Of course a lot will depend on where we pick and who's ahead of us. There's also a 50/50 chance that we trade D Hall which should land us a mid-low 1st rounder. He's up for a Nate Clemens type contract plus he seems to be falling out with Bobby Petrino every other week. I hold my breath for Hall/Smith Version ll this weekend. HEY, It's one of our plans to trade with Dallas if Long is gone and McFadden is there and we choose to pass on him. It looks like Dallas will be pick 15-18(Cleve) and 28ish, that's perfect value for our 6th pick Hopefully that would net Michael Oher and Matt Ryan/Brohm Looks like we will have to tank more than you guys ;D Still all guess work though Speaking of Cleveland, I'm interested to see what they do with Anderson with RFA coming up. Cheers PS. Sunbeam, How's Michael Bush doing? His he close to playing? I thought that we'd take a chance on him in the 4th.

We'll have your draft pick!!
Indy's injuries are terrible and yet they still should've won. Shows just how far San Diego have regressed.

We'll have your draft pick!! You're welcome to it I hope that we NEVER have another top 5 pick. As you know, the only guarantee that you get with a top 5 pick is that you’ll be paying a kid who has never seen a snap in the NFL millions and millions of dollars and that price is only going up. After watching the game last night I wonder how the 49ers feel about the $24 million in guaranteed money they gave Alex Smith. IMHO I'd have to go back to the 2001 draft to say that the best player of the 1st round came out of the top five and I'm sorry to say that it wasn't MV7 I bet now (after my little rant )that we finish 3-13 and have the 2nd or 3rd pick ;D Cheers

Miami to not win a game all season?
Am I right in thinking that the Dolphins are the only team to have a perfect regular season record of 16 straight wins?
It would be very ironic if they went all season with a zero percent record to their name . That would have to be some kind of record.

Just noticed that Michigan are on NASN saturday Well...he is the only Michigan QB in history to go 0-for-OSU in his college career! Henne is not a bad player but I wouldn't say he's anything like a Brady Quinn or Ben Roethlisberger. I'd personally not put him above the 4th, or at a push the 3rd, but then I'm biassed I guess. He was injured yesterday and could barely throw, he only played out of desperation. Put it this way, the guy has led a high powered Michigan offense his entire college career and not won any of the 4 biggest regular season games he's played in. That says something to me. The top Michigan player is Mike Hart the tailback, now he'd be a worthy high pick for sure but I'm not convinced by Henne and never have been.

Only injuuries can stop the Pats going 19-0. This season is so dull. 30 teams are making up the numbers (Colts could beat Pats if healthy) and a lot of the games are poor. CFB is far more fun.
I watched the darts instead yesterday.

I hate it when sports get like this. Golf has had it with Tiger. Dart and Taylor. Rugby and Wigan. Football with Man U and LIV. Tennis and Federer. Snooker with Davis and Hendry. F1 with Schu.
It's not new but it is for the NFL. Fair play to the Pats but the NFL has to be concerned. TV ratings for all sports are down in USA and the NFL doesn't need people changing channels.
There's also so much NFL on tv that maybe familiarity is breeding.....
