Washington's safety, Sean Taylor is critical having been shot twice in the groin apparently. LinkI really enjoyed the Patriots-Eagles game last night, although porbably only cos' NE won in the end. Quite a refreshing change to the usual Patriots games and I'm glad the Eagles gave them a game. Wasn't too impressed last week against Buffalo with Billichick and Co.

Hell of a DB. Why would you not be impressed last week? You battered them. Interesting performance by Phili. I'm sure the game film will be examined by all the rival coaches. And Belichick too. Finally OAK wins one. And against a AFCW team too. And San Fran win as well. Miami have #1 pick locked up now. BCS Standings 1. Missouri 11-1 2. West Virginia 10-1 3. Ohio State 11-1 4. Georgia 10-2 5. Kansas 11-1 6. Virginia Tech 10-2 7. LSU 10-2 8. USC 9-2 9. Oklahoma 10-2 10. Florida 9-3 11. Boston College 10-2 12. Hawaii 11-0 13. Arizona State 9-2 14. Tennessee 9-3 15. The BCS Championship game should be West Virginia v Ohio State.
I can't see WVU losing to Pitt but I'm fully expecting Oklahoma to beat Mizzou in the Big 12 Championship Game. Should be interesting.

Boise State 10-2 I have a soft spot for Buffalo as I always liked Jim Kelly. NE seemed to run the score up against them, although they took off Brady & Moss towards the end. NE got out of jail on sunday due to that late interception.

I have no problem with NE running up the score. Other teams need to play better and stop whining. In this country we don't criticise teams like Everton for thrashing Sunderland.
I wish the Raiders could run the score up!!

As regards running the score up, there have been some mentionsby Boston sports columnists that the whole "spying" scandal from the early weeks of the season is acting as some sort of motivator for the Pats, in that they're trying to prove that yes, they are just that good, and don't need to cheat in order to destroy the rest of the NFL...
For what it's worth there's a real chance now of them going 19-0-with Miami on for a 0-16 season, could this be a truly unique season we're watching here where we get both an unbeaten team and one that fails to win?

Jeez, the guy was only 24. On a more brighter note, there are still murmourings that the NFL would apparently like to see the Bills in Toronto and there's a group in GTA that have the cash.

What a waste... He'd better...cause the Fins aren't going to score any other way with no running backs and a rookie QB with only one elite WR who's double-covered most of the time...

True about the offense but I do think that Bill Stanfill and Vern Den Herder will be in Bradys face all day ;D ;D ;D Of interest to me at least. Georgia Tech fires Gailey after six seasons "I've got to be a little unique," Gailey said. "I'm not sure there's any coaches out there that were in the NFL, went to the playoffs both years and got fired and went to a bowl game six straight years and got fired."

Bills to Toronto is a real possibility. Really depends on whether the NFL will enter Canada.

Bills to Toronto is a real possibility. Really depends on whether the NFL will enter Canada. I don't know if it's a certainty, but a couple of friends who double up as Leafs and Argonauts fans, seem to be of the opinion that the NFL would like a team in Toronto and there's major concern for the CFL if a team does start/relocate in Canada.

Be a concern for CFL for sure. Won't be good for any Toronto team too though I think the Leafs, Raptors and FC are all owned by the same people as who might be buying the Bills? If not then the NFL will be causing a lot of upset. But since something like a third of Bills fans come from Canada it soes make some sense.

They're worth close to a $1billion

Yes and are they trying to buy the Bills? Sorry for the late reply. As far as I know, Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment don't want to buy an NFL franchise, although Larry Tanenbaum who has a holding in said company expressed (his) and Ted Rogers desire to bring a team to Toronto in September. Refrence last night's game against the Steelers, I loved this play by Moss & Brady: youtube.com

Two Team NFL. Been saying it all season. If Freeney wasn't on IR I'd fancy Indy's chances. But he is, so I don't. ESPN's College FB Live show yesterday did a mock play off. Here's how it went down: Cotton Bowl - LSU v Mizzou Fiesta - Georgia v Ohio Outback - Ok v KAnsas Holiday - West Virginia v USC Rose Bowl - LSU v Ohio Orange Bowl - Ok v USC Sugar Bowl - LSU v USC CFB Champs - USC. Sounds about right to me.

I know this is a bit picky but can we call Ohio State Ohio State?
Ohio are an entirely different University and different team in Athens, OH, the Bobcats.

Good to see another dull day in Falconsland The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 12/12/07 Less than a year after accepting what he called his "dream job," Bobby Petrino abruptly resigned as coach of the Falcons on Tuesday with three games remaining to coach the University of Arkansas. The move comes one day after star quarterback Michael Vick, whom Petrino never got a chance to coach, was sentenced to 23 months in federal prison for his role in a dogfighting operation. I think that our chances of drafting Brohm dropped from 60% to 15% and our chances of drafting Run DMC went up 10%

I should add I was not referring to the Uni of South Carolina! As for ATL - shocked to read that. Thankful it's not Sir Lane. Woodson or DMc would fill seats. ATL needs a black star player. RB's available next year: Jamal Lewis, Cleveland, 218 carries, 921 yards, 4.2 ypc Justin Fargas, Oakland, 196 carries, 920 yayrds, 4.7 ypc Ron Dayne, Houston, 162 carries, 618 yards, 3.8 ypc Derrick Ward, N.Y. Giants, 125 carries, 602 yards, 4.8 ypc Julius Jones, Dallas, 141 carries, 550 yards, 3.9 ypc Jesse Chatman, Miami, 107 carries, 435 yards, 4.4 ypc Aaron Stecker, New Orleans, 79 carries, 300 yards, 3.8, ypc Michael Turner, San Diego, 48 carries, 235 yards, 4.9 ypc Michael Pittman, Tampa Bay, 45 carries, 213 yards, 4.7 ypc T.J. Parcells considering Falcons' offer Former coach would assume position higher than McKay
By STEVE WYCHE The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 12/19/07 Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank has offered former New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells a top football decision-making job with the franchise, a high-ranking team official confirmed Tuesday night. Parcells, an analyst with ESPN, is weighing the offer and could come to a decision by Wednesday. The position would trump the authority held by current president and general manager Rich McKay. It is not known who Parcells would name as head coach but he is said to have a list of candidates, the team offical confirmed.
ESPN. Less than 18 hours later Not So Fast: No Deal For Parcells Bill Parcells and the Atlanta Falcons had a deal in principle Tuesday night. By Wednesday afternoon, it was gone. The team said Wednesday that Parcells "would not be signing a contract with us" and that Parcells is "considering a revised offer from the Miami Dolphins."
