Nugent is a class act, some of the things he can do are awe inspiring. His two goals on SKY earlier this year were a level above.

Stan is coming out of retirement. I'd have thought Watford, Newcastle, Boro and Sheff U might be interested.

*Pedantic* Isnt Sheringham 40? that would make him 5 years older than Collymore The problem with stan is that he hasnt played football for 5 years! Even if he is as psyically fit as he claims, i suspect he might struggle a wee bit! When he signs for SUFC and scores 20 goals ill quite happily eat my words ;D

sheringham is 41 and still going strong.
i cant remeber the last time sheringham played. i know that he plays more than collymore. if sheringham played in the last couple of weeks please dont put that on here because that would just embarrass me lol. (Watch someone do it)

It's not really a transfer, but France Goalkeeper, Fabien Barthez, has announced his retirement.

well who is it then because there isnt that many good players in the championship that are good enough to play in the premiership. He's probably the only other striker in that division worth £4m. The 3 clubs who are expected to bid in Jan are Boro, Newcastle and Pompey. He would choose Newcastle first. Not keen on Pompey as he doesn't want to move that far. He wants to join the fourth (less-likely) bidder. I see the move may be on. He'll still be hoping for Everton though.

Nugent is good, but seems a bit over-rated to me! Sheffield United are hoping to free up a furthur £5million to spend on players in January, on top of the money left over from the summer (roughly another £5mil) £10million to spend in JanuaryHopefully a quality creative midfielder will be brought in (Koumas?) and a striker to put the ball in the net, possibly Michael Mifsud
