Man U bid €20m for Hargreaves and Bayern will sell for €25m. Hargreaves and Carrick together? Hmmm.

Sure, blow the budget on Carrick or Hargreaves, but not both! In the same style that you can't get the most out of Gerrard and Lampard by playing them both in the same team, you won't by putting those two together and for that price you can't drop them. Man Utd would have been much better going for the likes of Ballack/Kallstrom even Duff.

Apparently the €uro is gradually becoming the currency of the Premiership.

Nice to see Roeder is still reading the Cage! Inter have always been in the shadow of Milan, ever since players set up their own team. Great opportunity for them now. They've got a powerful squad and no Old Lady to worry about. Martin to the EPL. He'd suit Newcastle perfectly. Great business for Newcastle. Still don't understand Inter selling him. This should kill any chance of Adriano leaving.

Exactly what Newcastle need up front, raw pace. Should be the perfect foil for Ameobi. However, knowing Newcastle he'll be a complete flop.

martins is an Awesome signing, altho so was Kluivert lol He is a good player but I wouldn't go overboard and say he's amazing. He's done well for Inter, but I'm not so sure he's going to make a massive impact at Toon. It might be just me, but there squad looks really under strength this season. I can't see where the goals are going to come from (even with Ameobi and Martins) and the defence still looks shaky. Smart move offloading Boumsong though. Good player who just didn't shine in Newcastle.

Boumsong isn't a good player Mr Ski. He's appalling. Proven record in France, Not bad in Scotland, terrible in Newcastle. I think he'll do well in Serie B. I personally wouldnt sign him, nor do I think he's Man Utd mould but in the past he's shone and maybe serie b will suit. afterall A. Andersson was awful at toon but awesome (for a season) at Milan.

Well Inter always played Bergkamp as an out and out striker, Juve played Henry as a winger and Vieira never played for Milan proper.

And let's not forget he got Anelka for £500,000 off PSG! Milan realised they'd dropped the ball when they saw a 21 year old Vieira play and quickly tried to buy him back!

A was touched on in another thread, Coventry City have replaced the now departed Gary McSheffery with Kein Kyle of Sunderland.
With the greatest of respect to Mr Kyle I think Coventry have made a mistake here.

Finally. Liverpool have sorted out that kuyt business. He sounds like a good player. Has anyone seen him play? Well he impressed the hell out of me on Saturday, bags of energy and looks like he won't have the problems fitting into the EPL like Kezman did. Reminded me a bit like RVN, but not as lazy.

I know. I couldnt believe they signed Bellamy, let alone Neill. Latest updates are that Agogo has joined Forest, Graveson has joined Celtic, Reading have signed Peter Mate from Debrecen (HU), Mido is back at Spurs in 4m deal which sees Lee Young Pyo go the other way to Roma, Malbranque and Chimbonda also expected to join Spurs today. Look like Tevez is Arsenal bound....
