Rumours are that Turco is on the way out of Dallas too. never took to much interest until this series, read all the text about turco being a playoff flop wit dallas but i have to say from what ive seen in this series the team has let him down. still may interest a few teams if he leaves!

...Pidge bring on your Wings our Sharks will eat your Chicken Wings for breakfast! Not so fast young man!!!! You'll have to visit the golf course if your Sharks want Flame grilled Wings on the menu! The Flames have finally woken up and realised they're supposed to be playing hockey! Hope they've remembered to pack the Shark bait as well ;D Unfortunately, on the evidence of the regular season and these first three games, I can't see this Flames team getting past the Wings, let alone mounting a serious Cup bid.

me to. colorado would have put up a better fight.
deserving mention to the NY Rangers making Atlanta look pathetic, some impressive performance's.
with 5 series at 3-1, possibly 6, i wonder if anyone will perform a 'miracle' comeback?

OTTAWA SENATORS have just beaten the Pittsburgh Penguins 3 - 0, to comfortably take the series 4 - 1. Sens were awesome in the 2nd period...& all 3 goals happened in this middle session. Crosby was by & large snuffed out of the game, & the Ray Emery didn't really have to stand on his head too much saving something like 20 shots in the whole game. GO SENS GO!

Seemed a solid performance all around from you guys. i was expected it to be much closer. Congrats! with 5 series at 3-1, possibly 6, i wonder if anyone will perform a 'miracle' comeback? Which idiot dropped himself in it then? Dallas win 1-0 in 1st period OT. Turco with his 2nd shutout at ours, we need our big guns to start scoring otherwise we will lose this. The closet we came to scoring was when dallas were on a delayed pen, pulled turco and made bad pass which touched the post. series now 3-2 back to there's for game 6.

Which idiot dropped himself in it then? Take heart - you're not alone. Though in my case I was guilty of pessimism rather than optimism! ;D No sooner do I say this season's Flames don't have the character to beat the Wings after going 2-0 down in the series than they bounce back to square it up and head to the Joe Louis with momentum! Trouble is, I've got expectations now - an gonna be desperately avoiding finding out the results on Saturday and Sunday till I can watch the recordings! ;D

Buffalo now join Ottawa, Rangers & Anaheim in the next round. ATTOP this San Jose are 1 up after 1 period, which if stays like this - bye bye nashville! Biggest result of the night tho has to be TBL being shut out by NJD, this is going down to the wire.

Wings take the pivotal game 5 hammering the flames 5-1
Awesome display from us. The refs trying their hardest to help the flames gifting them 11 pp`s and the goal they score was shorthanded.
We needed big performances from Lidstrom, Zetterberg and Datysuk and they delivered.
In the 3rd the flames lost it big time, hopefully Iginla and Langhow will be tossed out for game 6, disgusting cheap shotting from them.
Dion got wound up from all quarters having a scrap with Bertuzzi, todd getting the take down there.
Go Wings go

Well game down to the wire for us. We are playing rubbish, abolsute poor. the real shock is how we have managed to win 3! The series is supposedly the battle of the NM's however luongo has edged so far the only problem is he's on his own. The commentor said and at the end of the game Dallas have 3 wins however they need to get a fourth victory against Roberto Luongo. and that sums it up the guy is on his own on the ice pretty much. Sedins havent scored for five games, we as a team havent scored for over 7 periods of hockey, talk about needing the big guys to step it up in the playoffs. We've not scored in 20+ powerplays and we take stupid pens at the wrong times. On these performance's Dallas deserve it more than we do. <<<Rant over, sorry>>>

New Jersey 3, Tampa Bay 2 April 22, 2007 TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- The New Jersey Devils insisted all along that Martin Brodeur wouldn't let them down. Brodeur stopped 32 shots and Brian Gionta scored two goals Sunday to lead the Atlantic Division champions into the second round of the NHL playoffs with a 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Brian Rafalski also scored and Patrick Elias assisted on all three of New Jersey's goals to ensure the best-of-seven series would end in six games. The Devils advanced to play the Ottawa Senators. Brad Richards scored two power-play goals for Tampa Bay, which was shutout by Brodeur in Game 5 after scoring three goals against the three-time Stanley Cup champion goalie in each of the first four games. Brodeur's performance in the first three games raised questions about his vulnerability. He rebounded from squandering a two-goal lead in the second period on Game 4, which New Jersey won in overtime, then stopped 31 shots for his 22nd career playoff shutout Friday night. Brodeur's 93rd postseason win moved him ahead of Grant Fuhr and into second place on the career playoff list behind Patrick Roy's 151.

Not sure why any Ottawa fan can be confident, based on the series this season - Devils won 3 of 4 games - and the fact that NJ beat the Sens the last time they faced in the playoffs.
It'll be a very tight series, but Ottawa still need to shake off their playoff chokers tag.

However, the Penguins pretty much had our number all of the regular season & looked what happened when we played them in the play-offs. We could romp the series, we could choke & miss out. NOTHING is 100% assured. Do I think SENS can win it? YES Do I think they will win it? YES Do I think they deffo 100% will win it? NOPE. No one team can be 100% sure they will win. All we can do IS be mildly confident. You seem more than pretty confident NJD will win the series, & if they do I hope I am one of the 1st on here to congratulate ya. Just don't be too sure that it will happen. Good luck & may the better team win.
