In all seriousness though, there is probably no better illustration of "linemates potentially making the player" than William Quist. Stellar season in Denmark before he came to us, then just never got going. His two linemates from that Danish season are still point a game players. Quist never played again after he left Panthers.

Brady definitely won't be returning. Just confirmed as signing for Betteridge's former Hungarian team Ferencvárosi TC who play in the Erste League.

Absolute no different the post I replied to old boy Whilst we're all familiar with your (rather patronising) use of "old boy" to try and end a discussion, sadly you're 0 for 2 on that description

Yes, I fear we may need to get back on this horse. There's a fine line between good-natured joshing and actively trolling.
Good luck to Brady, it never really happened like it should have here, he seemed a bit behind the play for me a lot of the time, like he was carrying an injury? Onwards and upwards.

Given that you and I have also both been posting on here for 15-20 years Bobness it's mildly amusing to be considered the younger generation. But I guess everyone's seems young if you start calling people 'old boy' in your mid 40s? As for Brady, I wouldnt have been too upset if he'd returned actually. Felt like he had more to give that hadn't been unlocked yet. But he did sometimes look a bit slower than he had a Manchester, but again that could be down to line chemistry. As a third year pro capable of finding the back of the net reliably and with decent speed I felt like a second year might bring more from Brady and, in the meantime, if he could have improved from 16 goals to 20+ he'd have been a solid piece of the puzzle. He had more upside to me than Anderson for example. But again, time will tell. PS: kudos on your growing family. You must have almost enough to ice your own team now

Yet it was Anderson who seemed the only forward who could be bothered the back end of the year .. One wonders why it took him 7 months to get going... For all this love-in with Anderson (and I hope he does indeed bring his late season form back with him) he scored 8 points in the last 8 games, having scored 16 in the previous 46. Izacky and Levin both also scored 8 points in that spell, so he was far from the best, or the only, player "in form" at the end of the season, points-wise. In only 3 games of the 52 games he played did he score more than 1 point. Brassard had 4 multi-point games, Brady and Levin 9 each. Grandad Matt Myers had 6... The longest game point scoring streak for any Panther last season was 5 games. Summers finished the season on a 5 game point scoring streak. A couple of seasons ago, Brendan Connolly had a 21 game point scoring streak.

Kevin Carr lands back in the EIHL with Dundee.
Decent pick up for them, given Carr is nothing flashy but solid enough and consistently sits above 91% svs.

Carr is a good signing for a Scottish team but a bang average one for a arena team

Carr is a good signing for a Scottish team but a bang average one for a arena team Think this season might see more 'changing of the guard', with more challenges to the top 4 following Guildford's example of last season. Hope so anyway.

Okay I can officially give up on my hope that we might have poached Marcus Crawford. He's back at the rebranded Devils.
Not sure how we'd have poached him but would have been happy if we had

Very envious glances up to our former owner-sharing friends with the signing of Pelech today…excellent experience and should be a real quality player in this league (if stats and their consistency are anything to go by). Most ECHL games EVER!

Most ECHL games EVER! Cracking signing that.. but it begs the question why he never had more of a call up to the AHL with those numbers.. weird

Whatever that means. Or maybe there's another reason. It certainly can't be lack of size. Brother of ex Giant Matt, BTW.
