An interesting point. Nothing that I've seen on the OS. Probably because they are so unsure of Kevin. Week to week, then tried him and bang, back on the 'side-lines'. That's my feeling. Sounds like he'll not be playing for at least a couple of weeks

They'd still need to IR Domingue (again) though, which presumably would get announced by the league if not the club? They normally put out these roster change updates when one happens.

We’ve really had no luck this season with injuries. You’d have to suspect that Domingue’s issue is related to the previous injury.

As an aside, presumably we have to make a decision on Thow now? Have they announced that? Looks like ripe for a wage saving there

As an aside, presumably we have to make a decision on Thow now? Have they announced that? Well it’s not much of a decision really is it seeing as they’ve only got 14 imports including him and it’s halfway through the season so they aren’t going to use all there changes.

As an aside, presumably we have to make a decision on Thow now? Have they announced that? Since the EIHL website has just published our top five TOI players and Thow comes in at 4th highest average time on ice I don't think he'll be going anywhere somehow now... Not unless Lee is coming back any day Nottingham Panthers 24:39 Mark Matheson 23:19 JC Brassard 20:34 Christophe Boivin 20:25 Aaron Thow 19:55 Jeremy Welsh

Surely they’ll just roll Thow on IR cover for Domingue if he’s out for a few weeks? Mind you, given Panthers still have 6 changes left (AFAIK) and we’re half way through the season, it would take something apocalyptic to use them all. May as well make Thow permanent.

Bet we bring him back again next year, unless he retires

I see Panthers have finally announced Steve Lee is finished for the season. We could have announced this a few weeks after his injury, it was semi well known. His chances of returning next season in a playing capacity are slim.

Do we know what the actual injury is?

His chances of returning next season in a playing capacity are slim. From what I hear Lee’s chances of even playing again at all are slim. So deadline day,Steelers sign a player and Panthers announce that one is finished for the season. About par for the course with Panthers that ! 🙄

Be sure to remember this when it happens.

Well what is it ? I’m guessing shoulder,it’s always his shoulder. Frankly it's none of our business but if you want confirmation is not his shoulder the relevant Panthers article states... "The defenceman returned to light skating in early January but during the course of his rehab another unrelated lower body condition presented itself & it was determined that season-ending surgery was the best option."

No, they gave up on putting out the Roster Updates in January. Too much like hard work.
Anyway, Matt Lane is apparently "week-to-week" with an upper body injury, so we're still at the 19 limit on availability, but no leeway now.

I think you are right it’s none of our business - if it’s some medical situation not related to hockey it’s certainly not our business - but in a number of sports they are quite open about injuries . Ultimately he’s not on playing so it is what it is.

With one they player has a reasonable expectation that the team will need to make it public, with the other they have an entirely justified expectation of privacy

I think Lee's injury is the same as the rest of the team - they have all lost their *****
