shall we put bets on at least one of the missing photos appears come intro time on Sunday. Impossible, 'they' don't read the cage... I could just tell them to again I guess. Apart from blocking people on Twitter and listening to the boo's at the end of a game it makes you wonder what connection they have at all.

I'm giving away far too many clues lately. Will reign it in.

Good on him! Glad to see he's getting to add the Olympics to his WC appearances. And he's been holding it down in Denmark since leaving us: Continental Cup Champion two seasons ago, top three on SVS% at 35 again this year, with less that 2 GAA and still with another year on his contract. Yes he kind of got lit up in the CHL appearances, but that's not really surprising. Pleased he gets to finish his career as a veteran who made the OG.

Ex Flame Braylon Shmyr leaves his team in the Swedish third tier.
The PR states "Despite a market that is not crowded with available players,..." Maybe not just Panthers having supply difficulties then?

Maybe not just Panthers having supply difficulties then? OR... maybe its an easy getout for lazy DOH so they can sign any old dross and say its all thats available? Perhaps its not just panthers that have this problem with owners not splashing the cash and/or DOH not having contacts or money to spend on decent players?....

The players of sufficient quality are there if you have the budget/drive to go get them. Superior EIHL teams prove this time after time.

I guess Massy wanted to play for 50 quid a week... Mind looking at his CV it's probably about right anyway! Anyone who believes the market is dry is the highest level of gullible.. not just looking at Bobness either 😂😉

Someone was perhaps trying to wind me up? Someone told me Massy (being the top scorer on a Ligue Magnus team) was on £600 a week, the French league are pretty good payers.

Of Massy is on anywhere near 600 a week then Doucet has to go before the season is out!

600ppw isn't very much money, would be about average for a 12.5k ppw wage cap for 21 players, which is roughly where we are.

So, in effect, Pidge is advocating that Panthers sign much cheaper players than average, as a £600 a week (effectively pretty much bang on EIHL average wage) player is deemed to be far too expensive? So, he'd be far happier Panthers signing someone out of senior hockey in NA, as they might be cheaper? I thought was he was all about quality? Like it or not, Massy was the top scorer in a team in a league that is often thought of to broadly be on a par with the EIHL. That's a good start for me. Given he's never even skated here in anger, it's a bit harsh to judge him just yet. Maybe I'll wait a while before I dispense any "wisdom".

Only problem is panthers don't need more offence from the blue line they need someone to clear the crease and stop the bullying... Round legs square holes ring a bell. Another reason why grommit needs sacking !

Errr yes Gui and just how long did it take you to work that gem out and finally sort it ! Duh 🙄🙄

I still find the whole Doucet situation bizarre. Season 1 he got every personnel change bang on the money pretty much, strengthened us and fix the initial mistakes
Then we get to this season and he seems massively out of his depth. On his most recent interview he seems proud the team is starting to gel (IN FEBRUARY) is blaming a poor market and said he was lucky to get the hedberg deal done. Not confidence inspiring at all now after a promising start!

Season 1 he got every personnel change bang on the money pretty much, strengthened us and fix the initial mistakes I think the issue is he made the same initial mistakes again. For Jakobs and Quist, read Suoranta. Unfortunately this time there weren't the players to add late to rectify those initial errors.

The budget wasn’t there this year though to cover up those same mistakes.
