Doug Doull rounds out the five? Fought them all in the NHL during his time with Boston. Belak, Brashear, Cairns, Domi, that was a golden age of heavyweights. 37 games, 151 penalty minutes.

If anyone fancies a Christmas activity, name a player who has played in the UK the next season after playing at least one game in the NHL. (Non-lockout, to make it harder...) Someone like this guy, for example, who even played an NHL playoff game the season before signing with the Storm. www.eliteprospects.com/player/69020/kevin-brownAnthony Stweart played for the Canes 2011-12 befoe coming to the Panthers 2012-13 season. That one was easy.

Another one I missed out on by a season, but folks spoke of Joaquin Gage in hushed tones. He played five games for Edmonton before spending the season with Ayr Scottish Eagles.

Can we save Pidge & Iggy getting misty eyed for the BISL for this thread, and leave around the rinks for the present day "action" (or complete lack thereof)? Thanks.

We signed Roman Tvrdon straight from nine games with Washington in 2004. Obviously a slightly strange one but Chris Stewart also came straight from the NHL and then back there the following season.

Curious old boy case…Dylan Olsen. Signed back in Wichita and named Captain, talked about his pride etc, maybe a handful of days later hung up the skates. I know he now has a better half so maybe he didn’t want to be away from her, however the timing was curious indeed! Also, seen Jaynen Rissling is playing this season albeit in the ACAC, oh to have someone like him in the current roster, someone who makes coming into our zone difficult!

I thought Olsen was excellent and I thought we let him down quite badly. Rissling would transform this team as it stands at the moment

Goes to show, eh? I thought Olsen was a tad underwhelming. Clearly had the size and the smarts, but just seemed so average. Tommy Hughes was the star D man that year, by a mile.
Must be a bit weird, going to Uni at age 28...!

Do think having someone like Rissling around or Lepine to be fair, Armstrong ragdolling Kelsall probably doesn’t happen…just a deterrent of some kind! Always disappoints when we let people go who are obviously tough to play against! Notice Guptill not played since covid either!

He scored way too many goals. 4th liner at best for Panthers

Even stood still leaning on his stick he would outscore the forwards we have now
